Picking Up Some Clones -- Couple Of Questions

I haven't had any ladies running for a week now, and I'll be picking up some quality clones this weekend. I was hoping to clean up the grow areas, and the surrounding areas for sanitation and pest purposes. I have been getting springtails and thrips periodically throughout the year, which I would like to avoid in my run with these new clones. Honestly, I never seen the springtails cause any kind of damage or harm, however their numbers were out of control inside of the dwc 5 gal buckets in flowering for a long period of time.

• What kind of cleaner should I use on my grow, and surrounding areas?|
  
  
• How thorough should I be cleaning -- do I need to take my lights apart and toss/replace ducting?

I'll be cleaning today, and picking up the clones this Saturday... probably spending a couple hundred. I'm a bit worried about bringing back pests, as these will be my first real clones, and I was thinking about doing a neem oil bath/dip on each clone before I bring them into my grow areas. I'm assuming the clones will likely come in dirt, and considering that I grow dwc in 5gal buckets I would have to do a root rinse to get rid of the dirt.. would be easy to have the neem dip right beside me after the root rinse.

• Should I do the neem oil bath/dip before bringing them into the growing areas? I also have pyrethrin and Monterey Garden Insect Spray. As mentioned, I have no other plants in the areas.
  
  
• Should I do the root rinse, and transplant into my hydro setup right away? I'm concerned that the clones might not have roots, in which case should I bring the new clones with dirt into my clean grow area?

Clean everthything you can, bleach water works i use simple green with antimicrobe, purple lable i think.
Bugs are coming from clones or in/around your house, or poor gardening (not assuming). Learn the pest to prevent them. Example fungus gnats love wet soil, so dont overwater and that will prevent them.

Thanks, I'll have to go back over it with some bleach water! I'm not really sure where the springtails and thrips came from.. they kind of just showed up one day. I likely tracked in something from the outside when wearing the same shoes or something.. that or the old pack of rapid rooters I used from a buddy.

Always dip clones before bringing them into your grow room (many including me have learned this the hard way) Just because you can't see any pest or eggs (even with a scope) doesn't mean they aren't there. Good luck keeping the area bug free. almost impossible imho but you can get it great for a year or so every so often

Thanks! Do you think I would be fine with just neem in my dip, or should I throw together a mixture of neem and monterey garden insect spray?

Trying to figure out how hard I should be cleaning.. should I replace the ducting for my ventilation?

Neem dip should do fine, as for the ducts, how stretched are they? Can you spray the inside with the solution? I would say I wouldn't worry about it but then that would be the place holding eggs. Anytime you can get a garden area completely devoid of plants, clean the fuck out of it IMHO.

I am pretty sure I have cleaned everything well enough -- thanks for the help!

Do you feel like transplanting into hydro while doing my neem deep is the best approach, or should I keep them in soil and wait to transplant?

I don;t have an opinion on that as I have never really taken anything from soil and moved to hydro, I go the other way when I give clones to friends but any clones I have gotten almost always came in rockwool.
