How many days to drop temp at night to get color

Ive read and heard and seen plants turn purple and pink even from being cold my question is how many days do you guys drop the temperature for

Thats a cheating way but if you want to add color with cold you would drop your nutes especially nitrogen and givem em about a week should see color if its going to show any.

Real purples though grow purple no matter the temps but it definitely adds to bag appeal to non growers lol

Dropping temps will slow down the growth of the plants. Any color change will have no effect on quality. If you want purple your best bet is to go with genetics. As Cold$moke stated real purples turn purple regardless of temperature. Dropping temps is more than likely only going to give you purple leaves. Here is a Congo that's purple. It grew purple on it's own.

Agree, genetics for true purples, some naturally show some purple on the leaves at the end but buds are still normal colours.

An another that just gets a nice fade with some of the sugar leaves going purple in the last week, regardless of temps...

My Gorille de Raisin was purple as hell in my winter grow {the only strain to show purple, other than Blue Shiva X Blue Shark}. Still haven't had one finish in full season, so not sure how much was weather. Maybe I will find out this year.

Im aware that they turn purple on there own and its due to genetics my skywalker has slight purple in it wanted to bring it out more. As coldsmoke said for bag appeal not everyone knows there's nothing special about purple

My lights of temps are 20c from start to end of flower this brings the purple on the strains I have grown. If I want more colour 18c will bring it on quick along with more resin production. Lights on temps always 24c.

After you harvest, throw the fresh buds leaves and all in the fridge for a day.. even after being cut they will purple up some.. but not all weed will change color to cold temps.. keep this in mind.. it is very much strain dependent..

If you don't like the fridge option.. you could drop the night temps into the fifty's for the last couple days before harvest.. some plants like it colder to produce color.
