How do these look

What size would you recommend and after I fix the problem and get them back on track what determines when to switch the lights to 12/12 is it just when they fill the area or would they still get bushier still in flower

Okay I’ll try that. do you think maby try giving each 1 a litre aswell as mine are in 11ltr pots also do you think they’ll be big enough to finish in
^^^^^

You could finish in those but if you transplant do it in veg and give them 5 days to a week to recover before you flip them

I water with enough to have about half a cup to a cup run off each time, and when I do a routine flush every few feedings or so I double what I put in so that would be 80 oz in my 3 gallons, lots of people do it differently but that's my thing

Do you think 8 plants in 11 litre pots will restrict the end yield in a 8x4 room also do you think the plant I showed is almost ready to go into flower or is there still a couple more weeks

a litre is like a quart right so that's like 2 and 1/2 - 3/4 quarts, should be okay I only use 3 gallon, not much bigger and I don't run into any issues

It was the lad in the hydro shop who advised me to use that size pot but if bigger was better I could grab some more and judging by the photos I uploaded earlier how long should I wait before switching the lights to 12/12

Theoretically you can switch the lights at any point, for example often sativa is a grown at 12/12 from seed, so that's a decision based on environment, space and height requirements and personal choice
-good luck

Will the plant get any wider/bushier after doing the switch cause if so I’d be better off waiting for to getting as much coverage as possible would I ?

But what I mean is will I need to account for the plants getting wider and taking more room up horizontally or will they only grow taller after the switch and I really appreciate your time thanks :)

In my opinion 8 plants in an 8 X 4' I'd let them veg longer, 2 - 4 weeks more

I usually run more smaller plants

Recently I held over three plants twice as long as normal in veg

These three plants yielded more than three times as many smaller plants usually do

So I'm rethinking this exact question myself

  1. Yeah i think that’s what I’ll do because I’d be best of getting them 100% before switching anyways so I’ll fix the nute burn and try and fill the space a touch more in the next 2/3 weeks thanks for your help

More often than not (unless it's something to do with a particular strains genetics, a few like one main cola) you're probably going to want to top them

that stops them from getting too tall and it will Branch them out and the more tops the more colas and the more yield!

Would I be better off waiting till I’ve sorted the nute burn out so there’s not too much going on for them

No I don't think it's going to make any difference at all, they look about right to be topped. The leaf damage is already done.

I usually top at 5th node but recently I topped 2 at the 4th, I haven't had an issue doing it but only tried it once so far, I'm trying to keep two stretchy girls shorter

Haha  I’ve seen somewhere they grew to the 6th and topped at the 3rd but it just seems unusual as surely it wouldn’t make a difference topping at the 6th unless height was an issue ?
