I don't know yet, but if it was 550 grams you'd be murdering it i think. And if the 600 did 600 grams fucking hand jobs would be in order to everyone. I mean thats just me though. Your thoughts?Wondering if anyone could share some stats on their yields for an HLG550. I believe most people use one in 4x4.
Some dude here just pulled 1.9 grams per watt his second ever grow under samsung strips, so those numbers are easily possible if the setup is dialed in and the right strains are grownI don't know yet, but if it was 550 grams you'd be murdering it i think. awesome! do you have a link or name i can look up?Some dude here just pulled 1.9 grams per watt his second ever grow under samsung strips, so those numbers are definitely possible if the setup is dialed in and the right strains are grown
no results yet but ive always thought 1 was a standard, just didnt know what the upper limits were. was hoping 1.5 was somewhat doable, and 2 if really perfected!I don't know yet, but if it was 550 grams you'd be murdering it i think. 1 gram per watt would be pretty bad for an LED rig of that efficiencyI don't know yet, but if it was 550 grams you'd be murdering it i think
Of vendable bud, lets hope thats the truth.1 gram per watt would be pretty bad for an LED rig of that efficiency
can you offer more insight on what is stnadard yield g/w, good, and high end?you have to understand its no different tech than any of the rigs from last several years who have been pulling 1.4-1.7+, in fact its on the upper end of efficiency of those
awesome, thanks for the info. i guess my 1g/w was more of an HPS figure rather than LED.theres a lot of factors, strain, space you have to grow in, growers skill, etc etc
in general (real round numbers)
SE HPS: 0.6-1.2
DE HPS: 0.8-1.5
CMH: 1-1.6
LEDS: 0.5-2.0 (huge range because LEDs cover so many different designs, there is no "standard"
a typical phosphor white of good system efficiency (1.6-2.2 umol/J) should be able to do 1.2-2.0
not all of them are good lightshow can an LED design (using same, good lights) end up with vastly different yields,
no! or there would be no incentive to use one type of light over another. CFLs to the best LEDs span a huge range of photosynthetic efficiency, like 0.7-2.2 umol/JI mean a watt is a watt regardless of design right?
My first 600w HID grow I yielded a GPW of dry flower. (scrog). I should of yielded more as I didn't fill the net so 1.5 GPW from a single 600HID is achievable.I don't know yet, but if it was 550 grams you'd be murdering it i think. And if the 600 did 600 grams fucking hand jobs would be in order to everyone. I mean thats just me though. Your thoughts?
I sure hope so. Ive only been over gram per watt with single ended with 2 strains, blue dream and space queen. with DE I've done it every time. Im hoping those hlg 600's a gram per watt with a 24 day veg SOG style sort of.You would think the same W in LED should easily give you 1.5 GPW
watched the video, thanks. going to go thru that journal post over time since its quite dense!not all of them are good lights

the following is worth a read despite the fact that the LEDs in that study were from 2013-2014 and most are sub-HPS in efficiency:
http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0099010
once you get a handle of umol/J then you can make sense when an LED vendor quotes a umol/J or PPF (NOT PPFD!) number
umol/J = (PPF)/(input wattage)
PPFD = spot measurement which by itself is useless (slightly more useful as a PAR map at a distance but still doesnt tell you overall efficiency)
