Just wondering if i am supposed to buy a certain soil or if any will do.

What would be the best nutrients to go for? I was thinking not to use it so it does not effect my taste and flavour of buds.

Pro mix bx or hp and any nutrients that contain trace elements will do.

Ph balanced, complete 2 part nutes can be expensive but if you like to be lazy then it's worth it to some growers.

I like heavy 16 veg a +b and Prime. No need for flowering nutes. Just use veg a+b and prime until you're ready to taper off.

There are much cheaper ways like Dyna grow nutrients or powdered mixes for cheap. Check out 'mega crop' if that's your style.


I got killer results with Heavy 16 on my GSC and Red Beard pheno run


If you don't want to use external nutrients, there are premade 'super soils' that require only water! They are much more expensive than pro mix, but can be used without adding much or any fertilizer.

If that's your interest, check into some Fox Farm Ocean Forest. It has a lot of food in it, making it ideal for an established plant.

Always start seeds or clones in an insert media because they don't need much and it causes more trouble than it's worth generally.

I have no idea lol.. first time so confused. pro mix?? bx? baffled.. What pest or diseases are prone to pop up

'Pro mix bx' is a sterile peat moss mix that many professionals use. I have enjoyed using varying brands of spagnum peat medium for 20 years.

Pro mix is about $30 for 3.5cu ft bale. I recommend this for beginners. In fact I still use it frequently.

No pests or disease in that kind of medium.

Well I am from the UK so will look around for the same if available

Any spaghum will work, but look for something with perlite included, mate! It helps a lot with aeration for better root growth.

Greenhouses use it almost exclusively.

I'm sure you'll get something suitable.
