Yes, and here and there. I've actually been clean for going on 6 months now and I can say to anyone that is currently taking a benzo watch the fuck out for withdrawal , it's a motherfucker.

Xanax was never intended for long term use as it creates whats known as "rebound anxiety" not to mention the onset of early dementia.

A simple google search should bring up many publications.
The first time I'd read about it was a couple yrs ago and that particular site is for licensed providers, RNs, PAs, MDs LADCs, students, etc. It was a study based on cognitive impairment in patients with a history of long term use.

One of the singers from fleetwood mac got hooked on it at rehab for hard drugs. She then tried to get off benzos and said it was like opening the gates to hell. I would have to say I couldnt agree more, she said dope and coke was nothing compared to benzos

I'd love some decent xanax here in the uk unfortunately we aren't lucky enough to have them propper pressed bars like yous in the states, We have to buy white bars that have been pressed in some fuckers bedroom, Hence why I order elsewhere hahaha
Forgive me mods in advance if that offended anybody, But its the only drug that i feel helps me with anxiety/crippling depression after I lost my 3 year old son and all they prescribe me here in the U.K is 14 2mg Diazepam a month which is foooook all!

I was prescribed them for anxiety once....I get nervous on planes...Anyway, my feeling was that they removed "me" from myself for a few hours -kind of like I was asleep and awake at the same time. It kind of worked for my flying anxiety....But, after they wore off, I felt extra down and lethargic -almost depressed. They wore me out. I needed a day or two to recover and start feeling fully awake again.

Never tried them buddy, I'm in the U.K and i get prescribed 14 2mg a month sometimes I will get a script for 14 5mg diazepma/vallium it depends how bad my anxiety/depression is that month lol We have very strict doctors over here when it comes to benzos the doctors are always reluctant prescribe them it's the same with opiates to I've heard about people who have had operations to get cancerous tumours removed and the doctors only give you co-codamol for the pain which is weak as shit. (Apologies to the mods in advance if I'm not allowed to talk about these these things.)

true dat. Odd position Im in, on disability for blowed out back and anxiety and depression, no pain meds other than gabapentin, they give em to me to keep the edge off and anxiety attacks of course. I suspect the tradeoff is Ima big ole boy and they don't want me snappin off, so to speak as the pain is obvious. I take half of what they give me, and having learned the hard way a long time ago when partyin on em, you have to wean yourself off. That still leaves a mark, but its no way shape or form as trying to quit cold turkey after long term use. In a perfect world, a guy wouldn't have to or I guess choose to take some sort of pill. You do what you gotta do, I reckon, jmho

Its not a prescription. Give it a google.. cleared up my anxiety/depression/pain etc.. Not sure what the legal situation is over there but it most certainly was a life changer for me. Good luck!

I feel for you with the anxiety attacks buddy they are awful, I only smoke a few times a week now due to them I smoked every day for 14 year straight then I started getting panic attacks while smoking thinking I coundt breath and what not actually called the ambulance out once to, I've had ecgs done chest xrays blood work done and all normal, I get a lot off chest pains to due to anxiety they are terrifying at times, I to am also on disability pip it's called here in the U.K it's not that much with me working but it's something lol
