The girls are doing great. Got a little burn on some tips and one leaf has it kinda bad but they are growing well and have no other issues (knock on wood). I transplanted them to the hot soil too early but they'll grow into it and be just fine. The problem girl seems to be doing better. I topped her and she took it well, spitting out new growth in like 2 days. Thinking about chopping this leaf off cuz its got the burn bad, thinking its an invite for problems so i should maybe wack it off but idk if its worth it.

Good looking grow, especially for your first time.

I had similar issues with my plants in this grow, with some unexpected leaf browning and yellowing early on. Turned out it was a deficiency, not a burn.

*I haven't gone back and read what soil you're using or nutrients yet.

Im using kind soil which is basically just a super soil. No nutes. Its supposed to be a water only system.

Found a little bug. Pretty sure it was a mite. I instinctively smashed it and then instantly regretted it cuz i wanna i.d it. But i cant now lol so i hit the ladies with some neem oil and then went to the hydro store. I picked up some diatomaceous earth and some shit called "flying skull nuke em" the guy really recommended it. Doesnt matter cuz i might have killed these bitches anyway. I forgot to turn the light off before spraying until like 10 min after i sprayed and the ladies look fucked up now

Once you have a ph meter I would do exactly what you said, once maybe every 4 weeks I'd put enough water in there to have some runoff but like you said leaving it to be soaked back up is a good idea. Use some of it to check ph make sure its all good.
Yeah chlorine can mess you up. But for the most part unless you can smell it you will prob be ok with the chlorine. I just moved from well water to city water and I'm finding out that making clones in an aeroponic container is a no go with high chlorine.

Yeah clear sign of over watering. Just let it dry out for a couple days. They will bounce back no worries.

I thought it was spraying the neem with the lights on but they are already bounced back pretty much. Crazy thing is the ph of the runoff was good on the problem girl. The ph on the biggest most vigorously growing plant (cookies) was like 8. So im gonna have to knock that down. But i think otherwise they're doing well.

OK in that third pic you can see the twisting leaf and looks like the one directly across from it, they seem to be showing signs of some type of bug, normally bugs hang out underneath the leaf and eat upwards. This thins out the leaf and you get those tiny lighter green spots all clumped together. Take a light like from your phone and look underneath you may see something.

Other note, be careful being up sold at your hydro shop, they are there to help as long as it means selling you something. Its not always the truth but more than likely. Google/youtube and RIU is your friend.
New growers tend to freak out and spray everything that can on/in/ around it. The neem oil would have been enough and those sticky fly traps work great too. But don't stress, take deep breaths and let her chill, she will come back.
If those other pics (droopy) were taken after the lights have been off for a few then that is just them resting. The ladies will do this and then perk back up during the day, they do need rest.

The microbial life inside straight organic soil can regulate it for the most part, so if the plant is looking good don't stress too much. Maybe feed it a point or 2 lower than normal just a couple of times.
Only thing that spraying anything on your plants during daylight hours is that the droplets could magnify the light and burn you leaves like a magnifying glass. I'm sure your fine on that. Neem oil in my experience has never cause leaves to droop (other than the weight of the liquid) or twist.

Gotcha that makes perfect sense about the drooping. The light was off for a while before the pic. And ill def check for the bugs. Thanks again.

They honestly look like perfect circles but different sizes. Its on the top side too you just cant see it on the camera. Im thinking burns from spraying with the lights on? Really just hoping its not bugs lol. I saw another bug this one looked like a gnat. It didnt fly tho. Or maybe wouldnt fly cuz i have 5 fans in a 4x2 tent lol. I ordered a duster for the diatomaceous earth cuz i couldnt find one in town. Paid the extra for 2 day shipping cuz im not fucking around about to go super assault with diatomaceous and neem.

Also this is pretty cool. The cookies is growing 4 new mains where i topped her. Like i fim'd but i didnt i took the whole thing off very clean. After i topped the main stalk grew another 1/4 inch. It sprouted the 2 new mains from where the stem meets the main stalk, like normal. And then on the tip of the main stalk where i topped this bitch has 2 more tops growing. Pretty cool.

I see what your saying about the circles, unfortunately when it comes to this stuff its a wait and see tactic. But keep an eye on it for sure. Keep the thread updated.
Its easy for new growers to want to throw money at the problem, I promise you its not always the easiest way. Waiting a day or two normally won't hurt.

Those definitely look like they are in their sweet spot. Plants in general kind of have a natural flow of being peppy and drooping a little and back to being peppy. Think about a pounding rain storm and 3 days of cloudiness. If leaving it alone for a day or so doesn't get things to perk back up, then I'd say it's more likely you have real problems.

So i thought the soil was burning them up so i transplanted them (kinda). I raised them a few inches above the super soil. I thought i might have damaged the roots but they never stopped growing. The leaf problems have gotten worse tho and I think this is a ph issue but im not sure. The ph of the water going in is 6.5. Im not supposed to water to runoff with this soil so i cant test the runoff. I thought organic soil was supposed to buffer the ph? This cant be a lack of nutrients cuz this soil is really fucking hot. Im at a loss. How do i change the ph of my soil when i cant even tell what the ph is. And i dont wanna fuck up the micro life in the soil either...
