Root Rot, help!

Ok, can't seem to shake this root rot, hopefully someone out there can point out something I am missing.
Growing AK 47 in DWC, using General Hydroponics nutes.

1.Temperature- Low to mid 60's with a chiller probe if it hits 72.
2.Light Leaks- Bucket is sealed and wrapped. there is a tube on the side that is see through to allow me to see water level. Top of plant is covered so no light leaking in through.
3. Hydroguard- Adding it at the recommended levels, but started adding more as a test.
4. SLF 100, added at the recommended level.
5. Water swapped out every week.
6. Active Aqua 240 GPH with 4 air stones. Lots of bubbles.

The plant appears to be doing fine, I just can't seem to get nice white roots. I started Hydroguard last week and the top of the water is foamy, which I have read is a good thing. I have already cleaned the entire container with bleach one time and Hydrogen peroxide the second. Am I over worried?

Root Rot is a fungal infection

I SEE NO ROOT ROT!

the first sign is a sudden deading of the top most cola/flower

here there is no sign

you do have fucked up roots tho

maybe the extra bubbles is twisting her about?

in many situation the coloring of the roots to brown is the humics(dirt) in the nutes

indeed you are stuck

if you trim the root mess the plant will be delayed

if you don't it may die slow later

IMO: as it still in veg I'd trim out the worst roots

but you can expect some top veg to suffer

No smell, no slime, just brown stain. Must be nute stain.

I'm going to turn down the power on my air stone.

The sharp leaf serrations and humped leaf in between the viens, also looks like something on several leaf tips in the foreground. All should be a clue to something.

What's your EC and pH? How often do you check pH, or calibrate your pen?

The sharp leaf serrations are from sections of leaf that I trimmed due to Hydrogen peroxide burn. Never doing that again! The leaf problems are 100% due to HP burn. All new growth is green and vigorous.

Reservoir PH is 6.3, nutrient water is 5.8.

I do not know what EC is, and I have never calibrated my pen. This is my second grow. I will research calibrating my pen.

I see a few cuttings on plant to start clones...
General Hydroponics nutes roots don't look like that....change airlines to blue or black
leaves tell me root damage

thats not root rot, thats nute stain from the general hydroponics. give me a minute i have a picture of my own doing the same thing. always healthy growth but had that "nute slime" on the roots.

i recommend you run some Flora Kleen through your system for a day, then give a fresh nute mix. see how that helps.

Sorry,. cannabis is such a determined plant. I have saved some awful screw ups, by dumping the rez, soaking the plant in pHed RO water, making fresh nutes at a lower EC

Don't let this one get you down. It's a learning process

Hey mate.
If i had a root pathogen, id remove the plant temporarily, clean and sanitize EVEREYTHING. First. Lines, pumps, res, drippers tent everything. When ive had it in the past, id just buy new lines and feeders aswell to be safe.
ill just list what id do concrning each points you raised 1-6.
1. Temperature reservoir - keep it between 18-20 degrees c
2. Light leaks - IMHO by the sounds of the see through guage you have on the sides of your res/buckets, is our problem.
3. Hydroguard - i dont think it could hurt but i havnt used it before
4. Slf 100 - dont think it would hurt either.
5. Watter swapping - Id be swapping it 1-2 times a day, fresh. You have rot. You cant let it fester. Also reduce the nutes a little and lower the res in the dwc. To give the roots some oxygen to help the plants try and fight it off.
6. Id still be weary about not enough oxygen though. They cant really have too much unless its like a washing machine in there.
If it kept comimg back, id be sus on my water.

I been running perpetual Dwc for 5 years now what I learned NOT to do res change in veg till roots are ready about 4 to 6 weeks or at flower time
the plant above in my post stained roots that plant is about 5 weeks no res change yet

( OP your roots looked great till first res change ..? )

What I've noticed so far is most beginner tutorials say to do a res change after 7 days, I find on the 6th day my girls want a res change/ they start to look a little hungry. (In between I only top with RO water if needed.) Could I just top up with new nutes.....yes, but I don't know exactly how much of each nutrient/micro/additive the girls used, so I find it easier to just dump and refill new.
^Although I may leave a little bit of water in the res from now on, since introducing the tea.

I'm not sure of your exact problem, but I've come to the understanding that you either need to go Sterile OR go Bennies. If the Bleach/ H2O2 is not working you might want to test different waters.

Have you considered Bennies? Making tea with the hydrogaurd might work really well for you? I tried it without the hydrogaurd and it worked wonders!

I do think he needs to rinse them though. Rinse, rinse, rinse. Its seeping darker through the net pot.
He needs a nuclear bomb at this point.
No more organics either. If its algae, its feeding on your nutrients creating slime.

Nope, no slime, no smell. I turned down the air stones, as Vostok suggested the turbulence twisted them up.

I just rinsed the roots and the brown washed right away. It's got to be the nutes staining them.

They should look like a brand new mop. With nice root spread. And have A LOT more root mass at the net pot.
Yours looks very thinned. Pythium will do that.
You need to follow the steps to find the source.
I do think you have a pathogen. They all look the same
You gotta sterilize right now.
