Yes. Literally. I'm sure it keeps longer if done in individual packets.So literally drop a few grains of rice in the tube you see there, and stick that in the deep freezer out in my garage? And should be good to go?
I let it dry as well. I first collect nanners and clusters and let them all dry and separate and then let pollen dry more.
I am sure that is true. I didn't store in separate packets. I'm also not positive the pollen is no good. I tried one plant and it didn't take.i have viable pollen that is over 4 years old. used it about 3 months ago.
- i collect on black construction paper
- i dry for 24 hours on same paper
- i create individual servings in construction paper folded envelopes
- i put all the little envelopes in a mason jar and keep it in the freezer
- the only time its out of the freezer is for me to grab one pack to use
i will be using several packets coming up soon as i got a bunch a girls to hit up.
I will go the packet route with my next collection.
