If you were Jewish, then you would know that it is matrilineal. That's why catholics have long been so fond of asking what one's mother's maiden name is.

And you have it backwards. Buck is doing it for show for his pretentious family. I was born with both parents and their entire family history being Jewish. Moms family tree traces back to the Cohane tribe. Maybe 15000 years of judaism.

Im not religious. And our family went to a reform temple. And dad is an atheist like me. But I never met too many Jews that actually believe in god. Just tradition. Even the rabbi in Hebrew school told us not to take the stories to literally and they are written to teach life lessons and was also to help the people survive the dessert.

And I don’t know who or what you are referring to because I didn’t take any of this seriously but I came in this forum agreeing with buck. I certainly know there was a holocaust. I didn’t know holocaust denier was even a real thing. Buck was rude and went over the line with me the first day I posted here. So I kept him up all night while I worked in my garden giving him a taste of his own medicine. He just kept drinking and posting til morning. And now he is not liked here too much anymore.

And he can’t let it go. He is a sad little prick about his internet status.

I just state my opinion and I don’t lie. I have no reason too. Everything I have posted is true. There every reason why a person should be able to own guns like yours if they want to. From what I've read the kind of ban to prevent selling, much less owning rifles like that isn't in under any serious discussion.

You did say that you keep a hand gun on the headboard of your bed. That's a bit problematic from a safety point of view. I would hope that gun laws go far enough to require guns be kept in a safe with trigger locks. That said, something like that would probably be enforced in the event of something bad happening.

Anyway whatever you are doing now is legal. If gun owners came together to figure out how to bring down death by homicide, mass shootings and accidental shootings to levels seen in other countries without government action, that would be for the best.
