Lol this is one thing that I cant stand about this forum site. You say anything about any lighting system other than cob, or qbs (especially any other leds), and you get harrassed and told your lights are garbage and that you have no right growing unless you use qbs.
People need to get tf out of here with that shit.
You gonna try telling me next I have no right to drive on the road unless I'm driving a ferrari??
Not everyone can afford to drop crazy amounts on shit.
And no one asked for your opinion about qbs or anything else for that matter.
That is the best way to look at the investment. The ROI is always there and at some point you end up coming ahead with more efficiency or better buds (less heat better light area spread etc).Well I'm looking at (guessing) 40-60g

A a 300 is half the Gpw as your 54? Haha yeah ooookayyy.... first of all what are you basing this "gpw" on? There are a ridiculous amount of factors that play a role in how many grams per watt someone will yield, and that is the most discreditable way to compare two different lights.
.
I agree, 1gr per watt is reachable with the right strainI went from a viper/meizhi set up to start off with then used the proceeds (roughly 2oz per plant) to upgrade to quantum boards.
Whilst the QB are a much better light without a shadow of a doubt, the vipars and meizhis were far from garbage, no huge yields but good compact sticky buds!
It's got me started with the funds I had at the time, got me some good quality smoke and paid for the QB set up, they are good lights (for their price) I picked up the 135w fixtures for just over £30 each and they made me a few grand.
In summary, definitely not garbage, but definitely not the best around. Good starting point if you are strapped for cash
