Anyone run 2" net pots from clone to harvest?

No i cut the net part of my cup off so its just a collar to hold a neoprene plug

Then when roots are big enough to where they will hit water in my system .

In my 5 inch cup i cut a small hole in the center
I carefully ball the roots up and drop it through the hole

Then i backfill with grow stones in a bucket of water because they float and its nicer on the roots then just droping them on

I use 2" net pots. To support the plants, I use tomato cages. Cut the legs off the cages and tape the smaller ring to the lid. It's a little bit easier than a trellis because you can still move the buckets around if you need to. Sometimes the net pot falls through the hole when the plants put on weight but if i made a smaller hole it probably wouldn't happen. I should have got a 1-7/8" or 1-3/4" hole saw instead of 2".

The collars work good for clones but fall apart when the plants get bigger, then light gets in the reservoir so you might need to cover it up later or use 2" rockwool cubes in the net pots.

Over the 6 years I've prolly saved over 10gs
lol, i smoke 2 grams a day or 2 ozs a month. that's $800 a month, street prices around here, or $9600 a year

i've saved over $100gs :o

of course if i was buying on the street, i couldn't afford an $800 a month weed habit, lol

thanks for the heads-up

I ran 2" net pots with neoprene plugs for yrs, root them, then grow them, usually the stalk would take up half the pot at the end, squeeze that neoprene down to a collar around the outside, i was growing in aeroponic tables with a 10" tall root chamber, the roots would create a column so thick in the chamber it would add considerable support to the plant, this would be system specific though. Sometimes i would start and run in peat pucks in the baskets start to finish as well, i never cut the baskets or worried about the roots, they will split those baskets right open like nothing if they want through with a mass of roots.
