the little buds seem moist towards the stem because they are. the stem holds quite a bit of moisture, and the buds will have to absorb it and sweat it out as part of the drying process.if you put a few big sun leaves in a jar with that stuff for a day or two it'll soften back up. it won't cure anymore, once it gets too dry, the cure is over, but you can bring it back to a little better quality than it is right nowThanks for the advice... I think I'll try adding fresh leaves. I seem to have this problem with sativas. They fill out and smell great before harvest but dry quickly and lose smell. Didn't help that we had cold/dry weather come through the area reducing the RH. What's weird is that the buds still seem a little moist toward the stem but the humidity still reads low. I tried smoking it but it wouldn't burn so I don't know.
My indicas dried more slowly and are curing at 65-67% RH. Much better look, texture, and smell.
actually, i'd probably make hash out of it as well, mid quality hash is a lot better than mid quality weedYou could try an use it for dry sift if you have any screens, not sure how the end results would turn out.
I never understood why until yesterday you cant restart the cure.the little buds seem moist towards the stem because they are. the stem holds quite a bit of moisture, and the buds will have to absorb it and sweat it out as part of the drying process.if you put a few big sun leaves in a jar with that stuff for a day or two it'll soften back up. it won't cure anymore, once it gets too dry, the cure is over, but you can bring it back to a little better quality than it is right now
