Overwatering seedlings in hydro

ive had many successful grows however I start from seed very rarely.

I started new seeds 2 and a half weeks ago and they are barely in second true leaf due to massively overwatering.

I have them in a a small rapid rooter and then in a 4 inch net pot filled with grow stones.

It's absolutely impossible for me to tell if the grow stones are dry or not and I'm overwatering due to fear or them drying out.

The roots are only sticking out of the original rapid rooter by about half an inch.

Can anyone recommend the best way for me to stop this habit?

I'm manually flooding the netpots underwater when they appear dry to me rather than having them in a hydro setup at the moment.

As if I put them in my Dwc I feel like they will be constantly water logged.

The leaves are drooping downwards and feel thick so it definitely is down to over watering

I grow Hydroponics ,but My Seedlings never get Put on any auto feeding Till they are a decent Size,You will find that you just have Problems with The Roots ,when they are getting too much water,I put Clones on My hydro method Auto Pots once the roots hit the Bottom of the large Pots,But seedlings are a different ball game.

My seedlings are in a 4 inch netpot in grow stones, those stones are impossible to tell if they are wet or dry.

How do people do flood and drain with rock wool cubes only? Rockwool must be always soaked?
