iamthatguy.....my side lighting will now be nice & secure...lol, all it took was some screws...a screwdriver & alot of guerilla glue..haha you can see it on the white board in the pics....
guerilla glue huh ............ lol you scare me!
Questions -
1. Are you going to move your plant over to the new tent?
2. How are you going to get the plant or plants in the new tent close to the lights?

LOL ... no im leaving the flowering plant in the ghetto cab and starting my Snow White seeds in the tent.
Also, Im up in the air, but right now im leaning towards elevating my pots and moving them as opposed to my lights, just seems so much easier!

Obviously...it may be a pain in the ass...but for me it just seems better than trying to rig something up. However, i am debating just stopping on the way home and picking up some chains to throw the lights on...what u think? i can almost bet u'll say get the chains? Or something else?

lol Nope I am going to say keep it simple and use something to elevate the plant.

Reasons =
1. If you use gorilla glue to connect the chain and it falls on your plant your going to be upset and I don't want to see you upset.
2. My worry of elevating the plant though is to choose something STABLE! It is going to be awkward and heavy to fill that Tupperware with water and have plants in it to pick up set down and put in or take out "blocks" to elevate.

I'm thinking ....... brb

can you take a pic looking up from the inside of the top of the tent? I think I have an idea that would be accident proof and tool proof.

LMFAO.. i wouldnt use guerilla glue to attach the chains.. i promise!! i can get you a pic but cant post it til 2moro (BOOOO) unless my internet is working at home agn.
The chains i believe could actually go through the little supports they give you... there's 3 across (long ways) and 2 across (short ways) but they are VERY thin. Should be able to hold a thin chain and a light tho. Or not even chains, something lighter would be ideal...rope? or bad idea? When i go home tonight im gonna play around with wat i got and ill take some pics...show u my ideas, and u can help me sort it out...if you'd like!! :)
More than likely tho...i wont be able to post the pics til tomoro!
Ps...i actually have 2 of those tupperware's one holds the soil & stuff i dont use often... that would be my bottom "block" (cause once i set up my pots i dont need to get into it.)
The other one holds all my nutes, ph stuff...etc. So that would be on top and then Im gonna look around and see what else i have, To use as the temporary "blocks" . Cause i basically take my plants out everytime i water them, figure it cant be too much of a pain in the ass. And the lights are wat give me the hardest time... Idk...still kinda debating what to do myself...

My first idea was to use a key rings ( like below ) 2 each side and run it around the PVC pipes ( the structure that holds up your tent ) up top and run a chain between the two. BUT I have a feeling that the tents fabric encloses the PVC pipe so this idea might not work hence wanting a picture. BUT you could use the key ring to connect to the tabs and then dangle chain from those to connect to the lights. Could you also take a pic of the light housing please.

Damn!!!! Awesome idea!! I could get those around the PVC, the poles are exposed on the inside...hmmmm!!! Ok...well if i can find easy enuf "blocks for elevation, then this seems like a great idea. Thanks!! +rep 4 u!!! :)

please still take the two pics for me to see the top inside of tent and lighting fixture.

shit..forgot to take the top pic, ill get it when i go home for lunch.
and after playing around with the tupperware containers last night, i realized i'd rather work with my lights, b/c the containers are limiting my space to work with.
now the light fixture is just a basic workshop reflector... i have a few of em, but it just clamps around the poles..ill take one later too. sorry bout that!
anyway here's a few shots with the containers

ok my idea ... it even includes duck tape :)

Center 1 key ring on each side bar. Duck tape a small strip so that the key ring does not want to move from this spot! <- important

You will need a small section of PVC pipe for rope to go through. For this to work smothly you will need to get a piece that is less then the length of your tent - exp would be if your tent is 48" wide then get something 38". <- important

Tie rope perminatly on the left hand side to the key ring. RUN rope through pvc pipe and then RUN rope through upper right hand side key ring and then back down to lower right hand corner to key ring. This will alow you to adjust lights by just adjusting the length of the ripe by tieing it down where you want in the lower right hand side.

Mount lights by running the clip THROUGH the PVC pipe. This will lock it down so it will not ACIDENTLY fall off onto your plants. Which can happen with these types of clip on reflectors. Any side lighting you want to use can use those clip on light to side stucture bars on the tent. If those fall they dont hit the plant.

In my mind this is a pretty easy setup that will not fall down on your plants if you acidently bump it and its easy to construct AS LONG AS YOU TIE THE ROPE IN THE UPPER HAND LEFT CORNER REALLY GOOD AND TIE THE ADJUSTING ROPE GOOD IN THE LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER!

Good luck this is only a suggestion.

Sorry about the underline I cant seem to get ride of it ........... ????

I <3 you ;)!!!!!!!
:-P <3 u 2 ;)

Just make sure to set some good string like nylon ( large shoe string ) NOT some twine that is fiberous.

On a side not that PVC looks like ABS plastic. Which means that over time it breaks down its composition from UVa and UVb light and heat - aka becomes brital - so dont hang something that is going to be real heavy from it. What you can do is find a PVC pipe that will either fit inside the existing PVC tube or on the outside which will dramatically increase the strength of the frame where you are hanging stuff from.

Good luck and if you have any questions just ask. I am really interested in the snow white grow!

On a side not are you trying to take that flowering clone back into veg mode? If so be patient cause it take FOREVER!

:) yeh im putting that clone back to veg...basically if it survives i'll be happy...
also, i have a few hollow (lightweight) metal poles (from a closet shoe rack), will fit the nylon string(which i also happen to have) so i'll use that instead of the pvc, this way i dont hafta worry bout it breaking down...also...i wont hafta spend anymore money... I'm gonna finish the set up tonight...i'll def post the pics 2moro..

Thank u again SO MUCH...you've been AWESOME!!!!
Also..it wouldnt let me rep u again :( said i hafta spread it around..lol BOOOO

you will have 100x better results with a real horticulture light, like HPS!!! trust the experienced. My fan cost's more than your hole setup
