Hey guys,

New to this page and new to DWC with Autos so, I am looking for some advice if possible. I have just purchased Fastbuds Stardawg and before I do ahead and root them, want to cover off the following:

. * what temp should the res be roughly night/day?
* what temp should the tent be at day/night?
* what distance from the plant would you have the lamp?
* what are the basic nutes the plants need to survive?
* for example, on a auto, how many times would you do a res change based on 60/70 days?

I have grown in soil previously however, hydro is a whole new ball game to myself, seen and heard so many wonderful things about it yet, so many horror stories but I am not want to be deterred haha...

I know the basics of PH and Ppm so, any other relevant information would be greatly appreciated ...

PS, if you could keep it laymans terms would be superb haha stay blazed ✌

Res water temp 65-70, tent 70-85 always. Ppms seedling 150-300 veg 300-500 bloom 500-800.
pH obviously what bottle says buy typically 5.5-6.5.

I never change my res. Until I flush at least. Just keep topping off with nutrient solution. Keep an eye on PPM. Sometimes you only need to add RO water. RO is such a game changer. Use it.

Thank you for the pointers mate, really appreciate it... Next newbie question, what is RO water? I'm from the UK and have never heard that term being used :wall::wall::wall:

Reverse Osmosis. They sell systems all over the inter tubes. It’s a series of filters that get your end water down to almost 0 ppm (mine got it down to 20, off well water).

Hell all I use is my well water in my rdwc it starts at right around 200ppm never had an issue. Plus it holds the ph really well.
