opinions on chem gro 4-20-39 and other CHEAP DRY NUTES

Hey all, smoke here just trying to pick the brains of those more experienced then myself with DRY NUTES. Ive read old threads so here is a new one.

Im Tired of buying bottled water with nutes in it lol. Not saying bottled nutes suck but im done with hydro store markup.


What im looking for.
DRY.
COLORLESS (or as close to).
Options of adding bio stimulants or running sterile ish.

Would like high quality but not paying for useless artist work on heavy to ship bottles that require multiple supplements. Just sayin

If anyone has opinions on the nutes below please let me know.

Been looking at the chem gro 4-20-39 along with their cal nitrate and mag. And any opinions on hydro gardens chem gro formulas

I wouldnt mind getting all the individual salts to make my own but would like to start with a "base" that smarter people then me put together for now lol

Custom hydronutrients has some masterblend for tomatoes.

Kelp 4 less has some formulas as well but i would like to stay with just salts for the moment without kelp unless i add it. (Although I like kelp )

Hydroponics research veg plus bloom. Let me know.

Green leaf nutrients (already heard its not clear)

Jacks hydroponic mix

Maxibloom ( not too interested i want somthing that larger food producing hydro farms use )

Any other companys that have COMPLETE nutrition in dry SOLUBLE form

Nice thanks for the heads up for sure.

Ive run gh 3 part
Botanicare pure blend and cns17
Advanced gmb
And trying some raw nutrients
Now i want cheaper lol but still high quality dont like to cut corners but dont like paying for fluff either

tty should be able to help. the place he gets his nutes is hydrogardens ( i think) in colorado springs from what i remember. save on shipping if you are CO local.

Hey buddy, just been busy with the family.

Chem-gro aka hydro-gardens, on Vollmer Rd in Colorado Springs.

I run the 5-11-26 hydroponic special mix with micros. Equal parts with calcium nitrate, half that much epsom salt, all by weight.

For bloom I add 25% more mix and 1/4 by weight of MKP.

I generally don't need to adjust pH but your water conditions may vary.

Example;
Veg
100g mix
100g calcium nitrate
50g epsom

Bloom
125g mix
100g calcium nitrate
50g epsom
25g MKP

...and that's it. Do not ask the nice lady about 'bud blood' or 'voodoo juice' or she'll sic her cat on you...

The 4-20-39 mix is better for bloom (no need to add MKP) but isn't quite as versatile for for other uses. And MKP is cheap.

ill place my orders this week been waiting for ya.
Had it narrowed to hydro gardens and jacks.
But everyone uses jacks and i like to be a little different o_O

And NO SIR im DONE shoping at hydro shops
The pretty bottle can kick rocks lol
I want what major agriculture is using :)

Some of the biggest commercial facilities in Colorado use their nutes. Why pay more?

I know, i know ,took me a while to take the right pill lol.

Im like , how come farmers in the netherlands arent using advanced nutes or gh lmao I'm OVER it .

The last "botique" nutes im running is RAW from npk (till its gone cause its 70$ for 2 lbs lol)

They at least turned me on to the idea of powders in my res :)

Now im trying to reduce my operating costs and simplify even thinking of takeing 1 rdwc system out of my room so i can do a side by side
Rdwc and simple drain to waste table to see if rdwc is more productive
I LOVE THE WATERFALLS but i hate having my circ pump running 24/7:)

no fuss here.
I have shelves of the best nutrient systems I've used in the past.
The best is Organicare dry fertilizer. cost is less than 3 dollars for the life of the plants.
no bottled or dry has ever come close to the expressions I get. 100% certified organic too if that matters.
it does smell some though. I add nothing but water while following their directions. year after year after year, the only fails I ever had was when I followed the advice I got here to add something else to the buckets.

Size your pump properly and it shouldn't be an issue. They don't pull many watts, nothing compared to the lights.

I assume its hydro Bueno? For rdwc

My main thing is i want a clear as possible solution i like kelp and liquid karma but i hate seeing it on my roots same for advanced and botanicare pureblend

Ill give it a look for sure .

Im going to order at least 5 pounds from hydro gardens (i figured it will last me a while yet not be sitting around if i dont use it all ) dont see why i would though

Dry nutes keep indefinitely. Once mixed, use within 2 weeks.

I ran half a dozen 27 gallon tubs on a 660gph pump.

In veg I ran 26 five gallon buckets on a single 1350gph pump. The water doesn't need to blast, just falling a few inches is enough.

Yea when i bought my pump i wanted 0 dead spots ;)
Definitely have enough flow but its not crazy violent ... id say like a mild creek i forgot what my circ time calced out to be but it comes out of the tees with enough force to make tubular sheets of water (like flooming?) But its not violent

Thats good to know i have basically the same setup on the ther side of the room but with 5 g buckets on a 400 gph but i thought it was underpowered since it just trickles out mabey im ok as plants seem to enjoy it but i also have stones in that one as redundancy

Ive found as ive read that the DO is easy to get in the water but harder to get even flow around the roots (dont know how correct i am)
