Cure jars

I see no reason why i cant use a hole saw to cut some large mouth jar lids
And mount these in the lid.

The air vents will be in the jar and the face outside the jar.

Anyone tried it and discovered an issue?

Planning on 1 gallon jars

The only downside i can predict is jars wont stack and i will have to wipe the lids off with iso or something instead of washing them.

These things are pretty cheap so i worry that they are inaccurate but i can always get better ones

I use the caliber iii i believe small hygrometers. They fit perfectly in quart jars.

I had an even smaller one with a magnetic strip and mounted it on the underside of the lid. It died quickly though so I didnt reinvest in the brand.

I dont even use it anymore. It was good when I was a beginner, but I judge by feel now.

I do things by feel too but i think i can do better sometimes. I just like the idea of not guessing a couple times.
I think this whole project is just probably another way the universe is saying I have too much free time.

Found the hygrometers how long does the battery last on one of those and did you just silicone to the lid?
