Tempature controllable damper?

Hi guys.

So I have a tent in a room that’s closed up 99% of the time.

Right now I use a 6” fan on a thermostat, sucks threw carbon filter and air cooled hood then out of the room. So far so good. Hold temp easily.

I would like to Have the control to bring in cool out side air into the room if the room gets above the point it needs to be to keep cooling the tent.

I would like to go with a passive air intake with a tempature controlled damper/flap. That opens when the room air get too warm.

My question is do they make such a thing.

Note: I do have a 4” in-line 189CFM fan that is plumbed in and not being used. I could just reverse it.

What’s your guys thoughts.

I have a background that is inline with your question. You can purchase a line voltage thermostat that has a line voltage output so that you may plug-in a line voltage duct fan. A simple spring loaded damper would keep the cold air from coming in when it was unwanted . These items are all available on Amazon. The Spring loaded damper and duct fan should be sourced locally at a hardware store and the thermostat you can definitely purchase it on Amazon because I did

Well I have my room doing what you want but viceversa. I’m bringing warm air from inside the house with a passive air intake with a damper to lower humidity when lights are off and dumping that air outside with a exhaust fan with a damper. My room is air tight for a sealed room.

I control my zone dampers with growtronix computer system. Here is a few old pics

Ps 4” dampers And I’m still working on some improvements in my room.
