when i first started useing it eveything was fine nice green growth then a few weeks later I had a lot of yellow so I thought I was watering to much. Then it was still bad so I checked the ph of my water and it was 8.0 out of the tap then I added the SPT and it droped it below 4.0 is this normal, Did my bottle go bad Please help or I will have to quit useing it but it was so great at first.

Bigtymer930.... Don't worry about the pH shift. Thats normal, it levels out in a few hours. If you mix up SPT and use it immediately afterwards, it does not harm your plants. When it hits the soil, the soil acts like a buffer, between it and your plants roots. If you hydro, a pH of 5.3 to 6 is what you want. Again, their will be a pH shift, but it's only temporary. It levels out within one hour in hydro.

A
pH of 8 is too alkaline for your water, it will damage your plants, your pH needs to be quite a bit lower.
.
If you are not taking steps to
remove the chlorine from that water, the chlorine will damge your plants, plus it kills the micro-beasties in the SPT. This prevents it from doing the very thing, it's meant to do. Add micro-life to the rootzone. You need some water that is not so harsh, lower pH & no chlorine. If you are growing in soil, I would flush my pots using bottled water, wait a day, then check the pH of the soil. If you are hydor growing, dump your res and reload, with unchlorinated water.
.
You can adjust the pH of your SPT mix or just let it level out on it's on, either way works.

Hope this helps...
