Me neither. Probably because when going up to that size, Uniseals are usually the logical choice. The Uniseals are less expensive as well.

I would imagine they'd work fine. Not much science behind a rubber ring. However, Uniseals were specifically designed with this purpose in mind. While the grommets might work fine, Uniseals have been thoroughly tested for this specific purpose.

I use grommets on my 1” black vinyl tubing on my return lines. It works wonders. Uniseals would work too, but once the barbed fittings in the grommet, as long as you drill the CORRECT width hole for it, shit stays SOLID.

Bought a bulk head as I posted before, got it attached, the hole ironically was the exact size I needed, maybe even slightly smaller so it worked even better with the threads.
Seems to be holding up and lasted 4 times longer so far than what it did previously.
Aside from the "they're cheap go buy the heavy duty" I've looked at a few places and they don't actually have the one size, or the lid folds in half....aside from that I've already spent the money on these totes to be exact I would like to at least get 1 single grow outta them just to test drive hydro see if I like it compaired to soil.... I like soil as I don't have to monitor much, I wanna try hydro only to see if I like it, along with results and growth I should get compaired to soil.....
Back to the post however, should hold up and the tote shouldn't give out?

Forgot to post the pictures. However just wanna make sure that this tote shouldn't some how loose its strength being like this, for 10+ weeks depending what I grow first.??
I am willing to however build a frame in wood or whatever, around the tote just to support its walls if it will help it from possibly cracking, but I don't see how it will.

A better option might be to get an HDX tote (yellow top). They are super strong and won't flex at all. They also don't cost much. Home Depot has them.
I'm going to move up to bulkheads myself. Right now I've got a diy bulkheads with aquarium safe silicone. It doesn't allow me to remove the pipes, so bulkheads look like they'll work better. Your's looks great!

p.s. your home depot will have them for sure. If they don’t, order them online and ship them to the store. They’re so cheap and to answer your question, yes, after a length of time, the walls of those cheaper totes become stretched, visibly so. White lines of stress start to appear after constant holding up of the water. Take our advice and buy the HdX.

Exactly. That's why you see lots of people using them instead of a regular totes with frames around them

You can get them up to 4" which is as big as I saw when looking for RDWC pipe fittings but they can leak. I use thruhull fitting for drains and also rain barrel hose bibs which have a faucet lol, they work well if the container is elevated
. For bigger pipe applications (2-4") I use shower drain assemblies, cheap as chips .

They will have a higher probability to leak IMO, there are a few horror stories here with the pipe getting bumped and the res drains on to the floor
. Have a look at shower drain assemblies with a female threaded tail piece, a bit pricier but not bad at less than $20 Canadian so probably a dollar in the US lol.

that's what i used. except slip, not threaded. same as a bulkhead but you get the cool metal grate that is perfect for keeping hydroton, dead leaves out of the lines.

I thought it was airwalker who had mentioned it, but it wasn't. I was sure I had heard the same though about not moving them much if at all when you venture into larger sizes over 3/4".

It's not a possibility, it's a "gonna happen" lol. I cover all tubing with armaflex. I also use clear tubing and the reason is it's free lol. The armaflex, free as well, works well to insulate my chiller pipes, they condensate like a MF'er.
