Allergy like symptoms while trimming

Who else gets allergy like symptoms when trimming? I heard its quite common.

Been like this ever since I started 6 years ago. Doesnt seem like its gotten worse, but maybe it has a little.

I get a wicked bad runny nose and congestion. If im sweating and a bud touches my skin it gets red and itchy and raised a little.

Thinking of investing in one of those 3M respirator things.

because of my runny nose, sometimes I get mucus mixed with grounded bud while rolling a joint .
I always thought it had to do with pollen. Marijuana pollen gives me a bad allergy, runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing a lot and sometimes coughing.
when my skin brushes against a plant, I too get red skin, itchy and raised a little.
despite all the above, I still love my palnts

i thought something like this was happening, but it turns out i'm allergic to neem oil.
i quit using it and the rash and runny nose went away

Couldn't be pollen unless you're harvesting males, but I get the sinus issue also.

Some strains are like chopping onions ....definitely have to have a fan rite next to me pushing air ....as well as gloves and a mask ....not trimming small amounts either

the plant uses trichomes as a defense response, growing more as a "sunscreen" when exposed to u.v. light.....maybe they're slowly mutating to include a poison ivy type effect to keep its worst "predator" at bay?

I found a poll on,ICmag and,seems like,only 25% had 0 allergy issues.

I've only found reactions to the odd pheno, mostly I'm fine with it, but the odd plant I'll get itchy/red eyes, runny nose. The odd one I'll get an itch just rubbing up against it. That said, I tend to have bad allergies throughout Spring-Fall so these odd allergies to MJ plants are nothing in comparison.

Volatile terpenes are also in abundance when trimming and inhaling strong terpenes for hours can really give me a headache.

Thats interesting cause I dont get allergies normally and get it with weed. Not every strain thoigh

my partners unable to touch the plants, she breaks out in a rash. no issue smoking it when cured but raw plants cause issues.

Yeah it is kind of strange, unfortunately the worst effects for me are from trees (specially when budding) and grasses, the most common and heaviest allergens. If I cut the grass without a mask on I'll be "crying" for hours. Even stranger which seems uncommon is I never really had noticeable allergies until after I was 30.

I jist turned 30 and finding i get rhinitis a lot.

I think its from,overbreathing due to stress. Or allergies I guess.

My mother has bad allergies she didnt develop,until 30s as well.

For me it only effects my nose, gets all backed up & numb feeling. Some of you are fucken animals trimming for 6 hours non stop lol my pinky would fall off.

I've ate raw cannabis flowers right off the plants and never had the symptoms like i get during trimming.

One of my grower friends had half a greenhouse full of plants that he was allergic to. It was just one pheno, the other half of the greenhouse didn't bother him at all. Same strain, but different phenos.

Yeah theres definitely something to it more than just "I get allergic to fresh cannabis" cause not all strains do this to me.
