Yeah that is definitely an antisemitic propaganda rag. I think it would be obvious to anyone that citing such a source is a clear indication of the sort of thing one wants to be exposed to and spread.
It is damaging to the Palestinian cause that such a bigoted source is used in its defense.
Now this is actionable information.
Honestly, I haven't run across any of the articles you're suggesting are in there. I will be on the lookout for the bias you mention.
I'm not anti-Semitic; Jewish people have a legitimate heritage, a Great religion, an awesome culture and fantastic food.
I'm anti apartheid- and it's especially disgusting when the Israeli state and its ultra right wing political factions attempt to conflate the two.
It's a long-standing tradition; Ariel Sharon provoked the Palestinians to provide cover for continued Israeli expansion into the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and Netanyahu is merely following in his bloody footsteps.
I also personally know people practicing the Jewish faith who find the policies and activities of the self styled 'Jewish State' abhorrent and contrary to every tradition their religion stands for. They don't feel theirs is the minority view and they're quite confident in the ethical foundations of their position.
When Buckwit cries about Palestinians' anti Jewish stance, he conveniently fails to mention that Israel has been using its State Religion as cover for human rights violations against them for longer than any of us have been alive- which reveals his own filthy bigotry. I find it duplicitous of you that you fail to hold him accountable, if indeed you believe in the cause of Palestinian Justice.
Counterpunch is an aggregator; much of their content comes from outside sources. Most of that content has nothing to do with Jewish people, their faith or even the Middle East. Their articles often make good and informative points about exploitation everywhere, it's what they do best.
If some articles they repost go too far in the defense of the Palestinians' cause, perhaps it's an editorial choice to give all sides equal time. That doesn't mean I agree with it- or their choices. Like I said, I haven't seen it. If/when I do, I'll call it out- here on RIU if you like.
To say nothing they post has merit because you might disagree with one issue smacks of throwing stones while living in a glass house. Let he who is without sin cast the first one...
