Plants suffering from mites? Avid/forbid dunk or neem spray?

I did have a run in with cycleman/broad mites,
I have been spraying neem [eienstein oil]/coco wet, and a ocasional asprin, are these underleafes infested with bugs?
I see some black spots and eggs i think, so im debating doing a avid/forbid dunk rather than neem... Im supposed to foliar today, any feedback would help...

Deffinitely something going on. Have you actually laid your eyes on the mites with a scope?

If you have broad mites then you'll need more than just neem.

What strength scope do you have?
You can't see broad mites with the naked eye.

I'm battling them now and my 60 to 120x scope is enough to see them, but they'e still small at that.

Im torn between 2 worlds, some swear by neem, some swear my pesticides such as avid/forbid... Im trying to be patient and use the neem vs the heavy pesticides, as i have some real growers who swear from neem..

I have a 60x-100x scope, i just need to get batteries for it, i think it works in bright light if im not mistaken?
I havent been able to see a mite, but i believe i see what apears to be eggs, even after forbid or avid, unless im completley tripping and there isent any mites, i was told by some members it was cycleman/broad mites.
I need to get batteries and verify myshelf.

So ill just alternate with the stuff i have[azamax,go gnats, chiitan, avid, forbid, neem, protekt] or perhaps ill dust with diamactus earth and foliar away residue with plain phed ro.
I guess ill verify mites with scope, and continue ipm, i flip in abt 2 weeks so im really hopping to take care of this. Instead im muked.

Im area spraying with heavy avid/bleach, de top soil treatment after feed, foliaring neem, dunking with avid and forbid once a week, etc, i hope to get this handeled....

Well if you already used the avid and forbid on them once and have been spraying with neem then you probably hurt them pretty good. And I'm not saying neem is junk, it' not but if a guy were to try fighting broad or russet mites with just neem, id be crossing my fingers for them.

You can deffinitely go other routes than the heavy pesticides, there are many options. Key is to stay at the spraying every few days and to switch it up to different types of treatments.

Try spraying with some essential oils and a couple drops of blue dawn dish soap.
I bought a couple of these from home depot but if you go out to Wal-Mart you can buy the oils all separately and really save in the long run. Several drops of each oil per gal of water.

I scoped and scoped for a a couple weeks with no luck but had all the major symtoms of broad mites. A few days ago I was screwing around trying to look at a male preflower through my scope and instantly that's when I finally laid my eyes on a massive population of them, they were everywhere, hanging out on the main stalk, near the nodes, underneath all the hairs that are on the stalks. Try looking there.

Also on top of spraying your plants, your going to want to wipe down and clean everything in your grow area. Walls, pots, tools, dehumidifier, ect.

It was recommended to me to use a mixture of I believe it was about 1/3 rubbing alcohol to 2/3 water for wiping everything down. Sprinkle diatomacous earth into your pot. DO NOT BREATH IT IN. Do you have carpeting or hard surface in your grow space? If you have carpet I'd suggest sprinkling some de on it too. As well as spraying the carpet with forbid or if its a hard surface, wiping it down.

After your done with your sprayings and feeling confident, get some predatory mites asap and release them on your plants. I've heard cucumberlous (something like that) is good for broad mites.

You want to make sure you're extremely thorough here in trying to get rid of these, because if you don't get them all or half ass it, they will come back and they will be stronger, then you'll really be sorry.

Just gotta keep at them buddy, it's a war.

The latest product being touted is Method-1. Supposedly made from no harmful substances and can be used into flowering.
Have not tried it myself, but heard good things about it.

I don't smoke neem weed, you can smell it and taste it.

those are both rough on your plants. why not check out some spinosad? good effective natural product, short half life, low to no toxicity to humans.
i use it and like it. 3 to 4 sprayings 3 days apart, and it works on all but the toughest broad mite infestation.
its a natural bacteria they found in an abandoned rum distillery in the Caribbean, and started to culture. its like nerve gas for bugs, eating their nervous system and causing death within a day. if you spray it three times, three days apart, you should catch any emerging young before they can lay eggs of their own.
you can buy it on amazon, and i just saw that home depot has started to carry it in their stores, the brand i like is captain jack's dead bug brew. the concentrate is cheap, at least compared to the premixed bottles

i'm allergic to neem oil, it makes me break out in hives and itch. not fond of the idea of smoking it
not to mention the fact that it smells like rotten chinese food, and will smell like rotten chinese food after we're all dead and gone

i think you might have a few root issues, as well.
if you're running benes, i don't think they're in good shape. if you aren't running benes, i'd get some hydrogen peroxide and clean up my root system. if all you can get is the 3% stuff at the drug store, use about 20 ml per gallon of water. i add it first, then my nutes, then i ph it.
if you can get the 29% (or higher) stuff, all it takes is 3 ml per gallon, but be careful with it, it will bleach your skin bone white if you get it on you. it aerates your roots, dissolves dead material, and kills any bacteria, mold, fungus, or microbes in your medium.

Perfect, thank you so much for the time and knowledge, i will run peroxide on next feed.
I just transplanted from 1g to 4 g, they where root bound.

Im still finding stuff like this under the leafes, i havent foliared with captin jack as im a day shy inbetween foliaring and dont want to stress them.
I think i should flower asap, as these mites seem to be resilant as fuck, have yet to id a mite, but i see translucent eggs of some sort. I should of started from seed...

its pretty mild unless you use it on very young seedlings. the key to using it is at least three sprayings, 3 days apart. mites lay eggs that hatch between 3 to 5 days later, if you cover six days with 3 sprayings, you ought to get them all. i'm a little ocd and will do 4 to 5 just to make sure.
