question on seeds

if i harvest the good sized buds and let her keep flowering. how long would it take to get her to make pollen flowers and pollinate herself. i have tried all grow season to clone this plant and nothing works from the cloning chamber to putting it in water or paper towel i have tried every way i normally clone to get her to clone and nothing works. i really like this strain and know i cant get more seeds of her. i do have her sister but shes not the pheno i want she grow like she was made to grow short tiny plant 2-3 foot plants. but this one seed grow to a 10 foot plant that would be awesome to play with inside where i can control her more. she stinks so well so strong i open my green house and i can smell her around the whole yard, and the sample bud from the bottom i took has the dry room lit up and it was just a lil girl . i would love to be able to keep her and breed her with some better genetics and see what i can get and do with her

There's a few reasons that a plant would self pollinate. I don't think that just waiting it out is a very common one, or even possible. Plants tend to self pollinate due to stress, unstable plants, and random pollen floating through the air. Who knows though I could be wrong. I think it would be a much more common topic if waiting it out was a common way of getting seeds.

Not all strains throw nanners late in flower. But I see what you're going for. Maybe introduce some stress factors, I wouldn't go crazy but maybe 2-3 light stressors. I'm really not all that sure if it would work or not. Maybe someone in the know will chime in or you could read up on hermie threads and see how people are screwing up and try to duplicate their mistakes.

but if i stress her to hermy would that not make the seeds have that tendency as well this is a vary stable strain one of the reason i want to keep her i want to use her for breeding but with out seeds or a clone im going to lose this wonderful girl. if stressing her will give me stable seeds i would love to try that but i dont want to mess her good genes

It's hard to tell what you will get. What you're going to be doing is making s1's. You will have variation, but how much is unforseen until you pop some and see. What you are trying to preserve well be in there, you just have to go through some seeds to find it.

I've actually tried this, a lot.

Yes its a crap shoot but you can increase the chances of a good result if,
the plant is a stable strain.
the plants genetics are pure as possible.
if possible start to slowly decrease light brightness, not duration, during the last 2 1/2 weeks. Right when they would start the fatten up growth spurt.
seems to work better on Sat's., ... when it works.

My plants worst enemy is me.

Your best bet for seeds is to hit her with silver. But you will have two weeks for male flowers to appear, then 4-5 weeks for the seeds to mature. You could always reveg the plant and grow it one more time, giving you the chance to try more clones.

Good luck.
