Yeah lots of boat diving and the types of boats they use here have lots of flat deck space, it's quite nice and one of the little things I love so much about being here. They have full step ladders they drop that make it easy to get back on the boat afterwards too. Shore diving is available in some places like Moalboal but many of the best sites around the country require a boat ride. A typical day of diving costs 3k - 4k pesos (60-80 bucks US). It includes 3 dives and lunch, free water, tea and coffee and some fruit. Some of these boats can be quite big. The one that belongs to Harold's in Dumaguete is big enough for 20 divers for a day like that in Apo Island. Round trips LAX-Cebu can be bought under $700 US.
