Will 5 of these = 1000 Watt SE HPS?

$73 x 5 = $365
124 watts x 5 = 620 watts at the plug
Supposedly mimics CXB 3070 spectrum
Supposedly equal to 300 watt light.
It's advantage is it is not Burple
The bigger version is $139 but I would rather have smaller one to spread out.

Yeah I know - buy 4 QBs but I was curious because Roleandro was one of the better players for Brazil.

This show was made for you. They compare the different styles and different levels of pricing for led. They will show you how many generations old the leds are in that Amazon light, just how inefficient it is. Of all the leds on planet earth, those old style diodes are about the very worst.

I am experimenting with the 600W (250W true) version of that light. It is doing really well currently. I tried the 300W version you linked, it was far too weak and went back. But the 600W version I am currently trying I am impressed with so far considering how cheap it is.

I calculate it would take at least 25 (probably 30) of these "300 Watt" units to equal a 1000 Watt HPS.
That's IF they actually put out 5,000 Lumens.

A Phillips 1000W Ceramalux generates 130,000 - 125,000 Lumens @ 2100K .

That would mean this fixture would be the equivalent of a 40W HPS.

The main reason I posted is it was not a burple. It was an amazon Chinese light with whitish diodes. I was thinking 5 of the smalls versus say 2 of the 600 watts because one person on Amazon mentioned they lost a row of diodes. I figured if that happened on one of the small ones it was less of an issue. I probably will go with QBs but would love to test 5 of the smalls just to see.

Yeah, I saw the 5000 lumens which sounds wrong. One T8 can do 3200 lumens.

If that a new Phillips? I think another brand has a Super HPS bulb now that will do 200,000 lumens.

I was thinking 5,000 lumens was too high. Those Epiled LEDs are inefficient and are not being driven very hard.

60 white LEDs will have a forward voltage of 180V. At 125 Wall Watts less than 100 watts will power the LEDs due to the use of an inefficient power supply plus the fans. So the current flowing through the LEDs is about 500mA.

The Epiled LEDs are maybe 50 lumen per watt x 90 Watt = 4,500 lumens.

do not buy this shit, zener design should tell you everything about longevity(+/- 6 months), using epileds supposedly, not epistar which are actually decent.

best to not even call these 600W as its completely arbitrary. just clouds the feedback you are providing

LOL - I've had one of these running 24/0 for almost a year now. Honestly, they are not great but they a really not *that* bad. They are ok for vegging a single plant.

5 of them would definitely not equal a 1000W SE HPS. They only adequately cover 1.5x1.5 ft., so it would take 9 of them to cover 4.5x4.5 ft.

It doesn't cloud the feedback. I gave it the name they call it so it can be identified properly while also giving the actual wattage so that they can know what it is actually is.
