I thought my answer was concise. I said you would make the decision.

Actually the problem with your example (above) goes back to my silly consent fairy example,which illustrates that the "age of consent" isn't in reality universal, nor is it even statutorily universal since it varies from plantation to plantation. (state to state)

As an aside, I appreciate your communicating in this discussion in a reasonable manner.

How do you feel about asking 17 year olds to join the military and kill people, but then telling them they aren't old enough to do X ?

About how old were you when you reached the ability to consent ? Was it the exact same age as the statute said and could it be different for other people ?

Do you think everybody gained the wherewithal at the same age as you or did some arrive there sooner or later ?

Generally, I don't advocate for things within the present "legal system" . While it can sometimes render a just decision, I don't think it has a basis in anything legitimate. So you're question isn't applicable to me. It's like asking a giraffe if the dress you're wearing makes your ass look fat.

I think people who fuck others who haven't and / or can't consent are doing it wrong. I also think people who prevent other people from doing something which isn't harmful to them if they have the capacity to consent are doing it wrong.

Which part of that do you disagree with and why, Prohibitionist ?

The way you've presented that question seems as though you are seeking some kind of absolute and universal answer to what I think is the age that people gain the capacity to consent. I don't think there is one and I think the younger they are the less likely they have the capacity.

If something makes me feel uncomfortable about another persons behavior when do I have a right to make them stop it ?

That's a bad conflation right there.

I've only ever argued for this: People who have the wherewithal to consent to something which doesn't involve harming others should not be prohibited from exercising self determination. Whether you or I agree with the behavior is irrelevant.

If you disagree with what I said, you are making a PROHIBITIONIST argument on a pot website, no less. I await your on point and concise refutation.
