the fish tank is defo cool and almost stealth in an unstealthy way... misdirection.
I suppose... germinating seeds with the hood on is almost imperceptible...
And as most people know, nuting the seeds and seedlings will burn them... well, the fish water is very rich and won't do any harm to the babies... and, since I feed my fish "organic fish food", their shit is organic, therefore I have organically fertilized seedlings...!!!!
I spend a lot of time at "home" because of my leg... the fish are deff. an improvement in my life right now...
yeah i got rid of those brackets a while ago, after you mentioned it, iirc. they serve no purpose.
Yup Yup !!!
when you say the tanks are good for a seedling nursery, are you putting clones in there?
I have germinated several types of food seeds and now we are up to 9 "gigglebush" seeds sprouted in the water farm... the last are 3 White Widow & 3 Juicy Fruit... courtesy of another member (thank You thank You!!!)
I have however, moved a dying, rootless clone in to the water farm, after cutting the rotting ends and making two out of her...
We'll see, I think I waited too long...
The other reason for not keeping the seedling in the water farm after the have a good root system, is that for this whole process to work, I need beneficial bacteria to convert fish and shrimp shit into micro nutrients available to the roots... and that bacteria dies with a PH lower than 6.0...
So I keep the PH in the water farm a little high... but then move the plants to the Zen Style mini... DWC which I feed with PH adjusted, filtered "fish water"...
It really is a neat op... and there are people ou there doin it on a large scale and eating trout and veggies out of their backyards...
Ok.. the hostage has been released...
Sorry about the hijack... but you started it... hahahaha....
Cheers...
