Anyone have any experience with only harvesting the large buds and giving the larfy popcorn more time on the plant to mature?
I've heard multiple points of view on this. From "it absolutely beefs up the remaining buds" to "it's a waste if time, put those buds in the hash pile".
Thoughts or first hand experience???

All things being equal, I try to do three cuttings, each a week apart. Take the top 4-6" inches off each limb. The buds right below will beef up. The last cutting will remind you that larf is what you make it.

I cut a small tester off the last plant. Left the branch and lesser buds below it intact. Tomorrow is the day for the rest of the main colas.

Trying to dry buds in 90% humidity isn't going to work for me. I need to build some kind of dry box.

Drybox is complete. Now let's see what my chances are of getting it down to 55%. Also cut 4 more that were ready.

Add some heat. The truck is to add just enough to bring RH down without making the buds so hot they get desiccated and kill the flavor.

I had 2 that finished before October all the rest have been pulled other then 2. Man this has been a wet one this year.

So you dry trim? I wanted to try that to see if it was easier.
What's the humidity at in that room? The reason I ask is I'm curious about RH levels and the effect it has on the time it takes to dry sufficiently to start curing in jars.
I'm stuck around 70% and am having to add more moving air to keep things safe. I'm guessing the RH will add a few days to my dry time, but the more info I have from people with experience, the better my odds of success!

I can't find anywhere on my property, inside or out, where the RH is less then 75-80%.

Gray mold thrives at 60 F and 80 RH. We got dangerously close to that last night. It was 70/75 At 5 am.

Find an RH calculator online and play with temperature vs humidity. Even adding only a few degrees of heat can make a surprising difference.
