3x600 reduces all the risks but it's your plan and only you know your needs. I grow in a cab 3 plants totally stealth and yeild 5oz every 3 months which suits my needs.

Hi brothers - It`s always a good idea to produce your own electricity,
specially if you need a lot.
So proof your possibilities to install wind or pv-power.
With 6 x 600W you will produce a min. of 2700W heat power.
Would be enough for heating and hot water and weed for 6 persons in a 9 room house.

IMO watercooled led light would be a perfect solution for you growers to save energy "and" money.

I also live in a 3 room apartment with 2 persons and my grow space is only 1,35sqm (90x150cm and only 94cm high). With 3 x 4months grow, I harvest ~ 1kg of dry buds per year.

With a 330W watercooled led light I can produce 80L of hot water every day. (2 showers + kitchen).
Before watercooling I had to pay ~ EUR 50,- / month for hot water.
Now my hot water clock move very very slowly - sometimes.
My lamp power cost me only additional EUR 30,- / month.
Savings of ~ EUR 50,- per month in such a small system can give you orientation about what`s possible for you.
Last week I started a lamp build for a 550W watercooled led light and I will take pics of the different steps of construction until installation.
So my advice: start with only one tent and if you want to use hps start vegging with 2 x 600W.
This makes your electricity bill much more credible and should cover your needs.

3600W is a big power draw. What if the electrical work isn't up to snuff for that much? Have you checked out the service to make sure it's adequate? Personally I would not want to take a risk in a rental. Too much at stake and too much can go wrong. It's bad enough when you own your home and you have to worry about getting a repairman for something.

Don't pull that from a 110V wall outlet, but it's a light load on a standard 30A@240V dryer outlet.

Thanks for the replies. Do you think 4x 600w - 2x in each 8x4 tent would be a bit better for this plan?

I have a standard 240v 30a outlet like ttystikk says...

Seems like a rental is our only option.... mortgages and deposits in the U.K. Are phenomenally high and I'm not a cash cropper so.....

yes, 2 600W is a better fit. Do you plan on providing half a city with weed? You'll be growing about 3-4 pounds every 3-4 months with each of those tents

We have been making our own oils and edibles and share with friends etc....

So 4x 600w seems to be a better solution for safety of electric consumption and heat etc.... it's just what property now... a rental seems like it's out of the question due to the amount of expections etc...

Grrr why can't anytning in life be easy.

Get the right lanlord and your laughing mate, try avoid all the major letting company’s and go for your average joe normal private lanlord. They tend to keep there noses out.

That seems like the best bet Gaz just going to have to drop the lights down to 4x 600w - have a 2.4m squared tent rather than 2x seperate tents with a total of 6x600w and find a decent private landlord.
