It was obvious he was talking about a certain segment of the population of the southern states that have a majority Republican constituency. Don't straw man it. Yes, we know not all southern whites are racists.

It doesn't. But being racist likely means you are republican. How many racists are voting Hillary or Obama, defending Black Lives Matter, fighting against racial gerrymandering and voter ID Laws, or fighting for DACA/illegal immigrant rights?

If the Republicans were in control of inner city local governments...lead tainted drinking water would be the last of the citizens worries. Fact is BOTH parties in thier resent state dont give a FUK about you or me. And alot of the problems are directly related to good paying and secure JOBS..or a lack thereof. And said jobs do not come from cradle to grave programs NOR tax breaks on the wealthy so they "reinvest" that money into job creation. Please.

Way to run from our conversation back to your safe space where liberals are to blame for everything.

Blacks in the US were enslaved disenfranchised, subjugated, and oppressed for hundreds of years by conservative whites. Then they were segregated from the larger economy for another 100+ years. Now they are de facto segregated into areas with little economic opportunity. Without progressive liberal (civil rights) programs and work with these communities, they would arguably be much worse off. Conservatives haven't brought anything to the table but more racism, stereotypes, blame, and condescension. That's why they get no votes.

So it is historically conservatives and their racism that are to blame for the struggles of the black community, not modern Democrats.
