Need some good advice for using Botanicare Cal-Mag plus

Yeah Homebrewer has a thread going where he's doing a side by side experiment with Dyna-gro vs General Hydroponics. From what I can tell he is likes what he see's. I'm almost out of my General Hydroponics nutes and was considering making the switch myself.

Peace.

thanks, you guys answered my questions.
unlike the last thread i was in where noobs were being added to ignore lists for asking questions!!
it was an old thread anyways, lots of pages BUT no DECENT info! :P
peace!!

I use 2ml per gal. All the way through veg and early flower along with my other nutes and I use RO water. Never had any issues in my RDWC

Fuck Cal-Mag it's watered down bullshit that you pay up the ass for. I use Epsom salt 100% Natural Magnesium that costs $2 View attachment 1154746

And Molasses View attachment 1154748
contains the greatest concentration of calcium, sulfur, potash, iron, and micronutrients from the original cane material. So it's not just the sugar content that makes molasses useful, but its trace minerals.

Yes, don't use the molasses with sulfur. This is what you need or something like it https://jet.com/product/detail/1307...&clickid=72f7f290-4615-4a53-9b04-24f7f0203df6

Yes 15ml per gal of molasses and Epsom salt
Epsom salt users - be aware that you still need to add calcium. Epsom salt does not contain calcium, like cal mag does (hence the name). I recommend epsom salt for soil, organic grows, because you can just add some lime (if your soil doesnt already have it) to get your calcium.

anyone ever foliar with epsom?or know the dosage to do so? i think i might be having a mg def that calmag is just not clearing up.my veg nutes contain cal so im not concerned about that.

Molasses has Calcium, Magnesium and trace minerals no need for lime

it's 1 gram per gallon when you add it to base nutes. not sure about foliar rates. probably at least half of that my guess.
ok cool, thanks for the help.ive seen all kinds of different dosages.20g per litre,2tbl per gallon, and jorges bible says 2% epsom, which would be 20ml epsom per litre lol.all seem a little high.guess ill wing it a bit

found this for ya from different site

.
I foliar with epson.
Half hour before lights off is when I like to do it. Fine mist the whole plant and dont miss any. Be sure to get the bottoms of every leaf as that is where most of the stomata are located. I use 1/2 tsp to a gallon and add 1 drop non toxic dish soap as a wetting agaent.

Mist plant fully until all leaves are dripping.
