Insanely Concentrated Wealth Is Strangling Our Prosperity

If we're missing the point, then by all means enlighten us?

It's your thread bro. Do with it as you wish, you just sound jelly and grumpy. Not actually perpetuating change.

A teaser for enlightenment would be; start with fixing the underlying problems that are slowly eroding democracy. Then move to fix social injustice issues. Rinse, repeat.

I don't like the way things are. But I live in reality. And reality dictates, for the moment, that electing people like Trump will put us back in time. And remaining divisive will only strengthen his base. You are perpetuating that divisiveness, and that's bad.
I'm against electing dangerous idiots like the Chump. If you think that's divisive, I'm fine with it. Otherwise, do be more specific as to what divisiveness I'm perpetuating?

I think you've swallowed a bit much right wing wealth apologist propaganda.

If you have something to say, by all means just say it. 'Teasers' are tiring and suspect in their motives.

400,000 new millionaires paying a lower tax rate then the garbageman.

An educated nation would be better off tax wise by having 400,000 more garbage men & women.

Trump and "his respect" for the flag, the Treasury/Security/Society is the Issue.

Shouldn't commerce be building seawalls around our Refineries instead of Islands in the So.Pacific?

I'm not so sure having a net worth of a million dollars is living the high life if your taking those statistics to mean that? I also am not sure that blanket taxing the investment income at a higher rate of those/me is the answer, that investment income is my retirement income. I speak as a person who does have a net worth of a million dollars and trust me I don't feel privledged and do basically live paycheck to paycheck, or would if I didn't have other assets to take advantage of ;). Do I feel I need to pay more taxes? Hell no lol.

You live in Canada don't you?

Wow man. Amazing insight.

"Fix shit, then fix racism. Rinse repeat."

You should write a book

I don't think those who earn their income via wages should pay higher taxes then those who live on investment income.

If you can't read it the way an adult would, try sounding it out.

1) Fix underlying problems that are slowly eroding democracy.
2) Then move to fix social injustice issues.

Repeat as needed.

Good for you. It is pretty obvious, isn't it?

I think tty didn't get it. Some people just can't.
Derp.

Platitude.

Stick head in sand.

Wipe ass.

Repeat.

For the record, neither of you have gotten even the first clue what this thread is really about. That's sad, because reducing weath and income inequality would in fact directly benefit you.

If you think massive wealth inequality isn't a problem then you need to shitcan everything you think you know about economics and start over.

The Dunning-Kruger effect runs strong in this one.

histrionic meltdown achieved.

Well be it right or wrong it is meant to encourage investment in the economy. And I for one am happy for any tax savings I can get. Why do you think it's wrong?

High taxes would encourage that investment to remain as an investment. Lower tax than wages means that HNW individuals get a break vs those who work.
