May be making a sacrifice tonight, Poor Purple Kush #2 is not fairing well to the budrot, and sadly i may be having my first meltdown. Lost a good chunk of branches and a whole cola this morning...Don't think i can keep up with it, with them having over 3 weeks left... Good decent plant, tall for Maine. I'm standing on a 6ft step ladder taking this picture. So she's almost 12 ft tall lol.

My first grow I did the same thing. There's an old saying, we'll sort of; you kill the first ones, you watch the second grow, you super crop the third.

Going on the 3rd straight day of pure sun, 90 degree day here in CT. I'm getting really close on some of my crop. Two of my smaller plants are ready. For the day off, I might chop them later on, do a wet trim & start hanging those suckers out to dry.

We have a cold front moving in that might hold day time temps in the 60's over the next few days.

I also noticed for the first time this year a tiny bit of rot in one cola. I was able to easily pluck it out with some tweezers but I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on things. Looked more like decay as a piece of leaf grew into a bud and the bud encased it.

I just did a trichome check from a middle flower at 60x and 100x. I am seeing a ton of amber. Here is what they look like as of now...

I wanted to go much longer (was planning early-mid October) to maximize their potential, but now I am afraid I am wasting potency and losing the 50/50 cloudy:amber mix I was shooting for.

Do I take more samples and confirm/post trichome pics?
Sack up and wait because they probably aren't ready?

Obviously I don't want to fumble this close to the goal line. Any wisdom for your resident newbie?

Mainly focus on checking the main buds you want to keep, not larf and shit like that. Don't go by the hairs. If most of the buds are at least 15% amber with the rest cloudy then it is ready anytime in my opinion. Is the plant telling you it is getting ready? is it yellowing off at al yet?

It is. It's getting weird super light yellow spots and shading on 10% of the leaves. Also some tips on the larger fans are getting burnt, which I've never seen before at any point in the grow. I was always very careful with my feedings and never had any issues damaging the foliage.

I feel like it has more to give. While they are telling me the time is close, I don't feel like its time yet. Doesn't make any sense when I say it, and it isn't scientific at all, but it's a gut feeling.

I just don't know how far I can push it before I'm giving away potency.
