Hey Hybrid I have got a few questions for you if you do not mind;
1) How does Suncloak system stack up vs HPS in terms of energy consumed and yield per area?
2) How does the Suncloak system compare in terms of quality of end product vs HPS particularly;
- Aroma
- Taste
- Appearance
- Effects
3) Are you harvesting quicker under Suncloak compared to HPS?

Well 1500w of Cloak can do about 5#'s whereas 1500w of HPS gave me about 2-2.5#'s. So, an average of double the yield per watt. As for g/sq' I'd say it does better too. Have had some sad plants lately but last year I got 2#'s in a 32"x4' space using 600w in a trail run. You can basically get a # from a 12"-16" bay using 300w.Hey Hybrid I have got a few questions for you if you do not mind;

Bud produced is good. Mad crystally, high terps, n good smoke.
Allot of medium sized buds on the bottom & middle & if you don't cut off the skinny branches inside then you'll get some popcorn. I had to learn how to prune them to get the most from it.
Not running the same strains as I used to & no longer have my HPS room so it's hard to say on harvest times. About the same if i remember correctly.
Of course strains & skills are a factor too. I'm just reporting back what I see.

Ok, I mostly skimmed through and looked a pictures as it's late and it would take too long to read.
First, I like the top lights, the side lights are not for me, but in all it's a crazy build and the lights look super sharp.
On the first page I thought "man, the plants are REALLY close to the lights and they just started flower. Then I see in almost all the grows a lot of leaf damage, is this because of light burn, newt damage or something? You're grows look pretty good (I'm not some master grower and I have issues as much as anyone) but I feel like if whatever is causing the damage during mid flower were taken care of, that you would have much better grows. You have a interesting but great set up, the lights are top of the line so I'm wondering what the issue is and I don't know if it has been addressed throughout the thread.
Nice profile on the lights, nice and thin.

Giving it a break for this next run so to do a Cob vs hps side by side.
It will deff be up for the run after though.

Great, I like mine so far. I thought about building lights more like what you have for Veg for less watts but great spread. Well I hope you get the kinks figure out and look forward to what kinda results you get with that setup.

can the half sun blades be used in a tent on the sides and back in conjunction with hps? i am looking to add some side vertical lighting and these look like they have done a great job for you.

Hell ya man! It's a versitile system. Rock it in a tent, w/ other lights of any kind, however suites your needs or desires.
Personally, I use the Horizons for everything. Got them lighting up the sides of my HPS plants right now. Peep my other (most current) thread if you want to see.
Running HPS vs LED right now so didn't set up the Cloak for this run but will definitely be next run & I'll prob be doing exactly what you're talking about too w/ some of the vertical system.
Also, you can get the blades in 24k or 28k & the Horizons in 24, 28 & 65k to add to the versatility.
