24k Gold, LA Confidential, Blueberry and White Widow - 600W

Hi All!

Thanks for popping past my first grow journal. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.:bigjoint:

My order from Seedsman although late arrived 3 days ago. This is what ended up arriving:

1. DNA Genetics - 24k Gold
2. DNA Genetics - The OG #18
3. DNA Genetics - LA Confidential (Freebie)
4. Royal Queen Seeds- Amnesia Haze x OG (Freebie)
5. Seedsman - Jack Herrer (Freebie)
6. Seedsman - Blueberry (Freebie)
7. Seedsman - White Widow (Freebie)


SETUP
Veg Light: 6x Dual 36w CFL`s
Medium: Promix 75/25 Coco/Perlite
Flower Box: 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m
Flower Light: 600w HPS
Circulation: 2x 4inch inlines for extraction and intake both ends being carbon filtered as well as booster fans at the ends of the ducting.



NUTES
For this run will be using the FF trio with cal/mag and Great White Mycorrhizae as additives. Won't be going full strength. Will be posting the feed strengths I give. I have heard that the 24k Gold is a very light feeder. Also using RO water.

GERMINATION
I have never had much luck with the paper towel technique so today I prepared x6 solo cups by running Cal/Mag RO Water at 0.7ec through each cup thoroughly. I decided to start my adventure with the following strains:

2x 24k Gold
2x LA Confidentials
1x Blueberry
1x White Widow
Here is a pic of all 6 in their solo cups. *Note: I noticed a gnat in my room hence all the traps, I may have gone a bit overboard:lol: hate them lol.


Well that's about it for now, I dont think I left much out. If I did please remind mebongsmilie

In terms of goals for this grow, as I'm fairly inexperienced I will be focusing on my quality and not quanity.

UPDATE: SIGNS OF LIFE!:hump:

Walked into the room this morning and low and behold we have signs of life from 5/6 of the solo cups. LA Confidential #1's seed before planting was a bit green I noticed and it has yet crack, unfortunately I don't see it making it but keeping it positive. However as you will see in the pictures below LA Confidential #2 is already poking her head out and wearing her helmet:mrgreen:. All the rest I expect to be poking out by tomorrow. I will update on that.

For anyone interested I've also included a photo of my bag seed plant that I'm just doing a run with for the hell of it really. She's on week 1 of flower. Flipped her last Sunday. She was in veg for no longer than 2 weeks.

Well that's about all I have to say about the progress at the moment. I plan on updating this journal fairly regularly. I see this being a nice long journal :weed: Happy growing everyone.

Guys can anyone explain why my runoff PH is so high? Feeding the bag seed at 5.8-5.9 and the runoff today was 7.55. It's been like this since I've been monitoring it when she had a mag def.

welcome aboard ! I've never used promix I use royal gold tupur & it's working well also use cal-mag one grow is e&f with a 3-1/2 gal. res. the other is dtw with a drip pan I'll have to ph my runoff & see what it is

I used ro water on my first grow a few years back and I wasn't aware that you have to add micronutrients into the water as there isn't any in ro water. Are you adding any in that could effect the ph of your water?

Hey Hunter thanks for the help. Besides cal/mag and ff big bloom no I'm not.

What did you add in as a addictive?

I used cal mag aswell but I ended up using GHE series 3 part feed. It had a micro feed veg feed and bloom feed. Found it a lot more easier to use than regular veg and flower feed. I also had to use ph down with the ro water. In the end I just went back to normal tap water as I didnt have to tweak it a lot like I did with the ro.

I would suggest you hang the fan higher and let it blow downwards rather so it helps to wick the pots dry from the top. Great for keeping gnats away too.

Thanks for the tip ANC! Thankfully haven't seen a gnat for a while. Hope it stays that way.

UPDATE:

Things are looking good on the seedlings side. Out of the 6 seeds that were planted 4 have officially sprouted. The white widow it seems will be the last to sprout, she sure is taking her time:grin:. LA Confidential #1 is still not looking like it is going to germinate:wall:.

They are currently only being watered with RO water with added CalMag at 0.3ec and PH'd to 5.7-5.8 when needed. Will remain like that until first true leaves appear.

Due to running into CalMag issues with my bagseed plant I bought more in granular form and will be using that instead of my liquid one that I have been using.

Strains that have sprouted so far: LA Confidential #2, 24k Gold #1, 24k Gold #2 and Blueberry.

That's about it for now, as usual I appreciate all comments, critiques and advice. Happy growing everyone.

the LA confedential; is a very popular strain, better if you get some of the better pheno's its always on the wanted lists.

I have 2 journals "one light one plant one pound" (lol) & the other is called calif. lightworks solarsystem 275 I'm using gh 3- part flora series nutes rebounding after loosing back to back grows due to the heat & its effect on dwc this is the grow that has the reservoir IMG_2745.JPG

How was the 24k as a feeder? I have heard she eats very lightly?

Any other tips on her would be appreciated:grin:
