A new build begins

Don't you need to put the door frame in first and then the drywall inside? I may be wrong.

I built the wall and rough frame wide enough to set in a frame I'll have to shim it level it and then hang my door in, I'll also have to chop the door down a little being it's a shorter than average door for the basement

A little more progress made today got some mudding done before work also shaved off some excess spray foam that I used to seal around the electrical receptacle before work, Tomorrow I'll have the mudding done then painting Monday. Ohhhh and a lot of my ordered items will arrive tomorrow

Turns out mudding is my least favorite chore on this journey.... not to mention that I suck at it!!....

Looking good though fella!

Plenty of outlets, right where you want 'em. You're on the home straight now!

I don't mind mudding, but getting those 4x8 3/4" drywall panels high up on 10ft walls on my own was a total bastard, even with a drywall lift. That and the insulating was my least favorite of building.

Well I got some more done, did some caulking around the ceiling edges that meet the wood, got some spray foam in the gaps for the door frame and the veg door frame installed just gotta get some more foam to finish that and also hang the other door put some door stop linings in and weather stripping for a tight seal and paint the room and I'll begin hanging lights, running ducting, have some small wood work to do to build my stand for the flood table and I'll be getting started very shortly hoping to be up and running and babies in the room by the 1st
