Well it turned out to be a stellar mid July to mid August. Then that fucking black spot scourge set in. I fought relentlessly for the past week to avert disaster. But nature has put me in check. I used copper fungicide as my only hope to stop the bleeding. In my panic I failed to see Thumpers comment saying he uses half of what I ended up using. I used recommended max being 4 fl oz per gallon. I loved about7 of my girls strt to their demise. The ones that survived the copper toxicity have fell prey to black spot. I really don't think I will see anything make it full term. A very bitter ending to a shocking recovery from neglect in June and then my abcense a significant part of the first half of July. Veg is always the most exciting part for me and I'll always remember the fun I had from mid July until 9 days ago when discovering black spot.

I've learned some crucial things this year so while I am having huge losses on flower maturity and yield I have had great gain in the knowledge and wisdom department. For instance when i start plants in solo cups and place in totes I will forever more have chicken wire attached to top to keep out birds. I lost around 150 or more in the totes. Even though rabbits have never been an issue in my sweet spot they were this year wiping out 50 plus plants. Always prepare for them no matter past history. I am a black spot guru of sorts now. Fuck black spot. That tying down an entire patch makes for a beautiful garden and lots of tops.
Special thanks to @getawaymountain
Always so terribly generous. The guy gave me over $2000 worth of high quality seed. A gallon of his strt fire seaweed juice and most importantly his time and wisdom anytime I needed it. You my friend may be the Captain from Hell on a workin boat but many of us here know you are a big hearted and generous teddy bear of a pirate who takes great joy in seeing others succeed at this beautiful endeavor of growing the most majestic plant on this planet. Thank you GM for all that you do. Wanted to make you proud my msn with all that you gave me but I know you will be satisfied with my efforts and wisdom gained.
@northeastmarco
You seen me asking if Rum Bayou could be found. Messaged me saying you had a cross you would share. Sent me12 to15 strains with average of20 plus seeds. Most of what I had make it out of the gate were your strains. You always help when I have questions and I can't thank you enough. Sorry I wasn't able to get your strains across the finish line although maybe a couple will make it.

@thumper60
You nearly git6me past the black spot. Had I seen your comment about mix ratio this might have had a happy ending. Thank you brother for going above and beyond to lend me a hand on something that no one else did. You are all right in my book. Hat tip to you my man.

The garden is not so beautiful anymore. But i have growed enormously as a grower.

That's really rough man... how many did you have to axe? Hopefully you still get some poundage. fwiw, your grow blew me away so I'm sure it'll only get better with years to come, I too have learned so many valuable lessons the last few seasons from everyone in here. The generousity of everyone has been amazing and I continue to learn daily. Here's to hoping the rest of the season is a free of more problems.

Dammit man everything was looking so good, fucking black spot. You are certainly deserving of a harvest for all that you have put into this. But like you said the knowledge gained from this scourge will make you a better grower. And I personally have learned a few things from watching you deal with this shit. If I were closer I would most certainly sling a lb of stash your way come harvest time. I hope this next month finds some improvement for you.

Don't give up yet. Maybe try flooding them to wash it out. Ain't over till the fat lady sings and she is stuck in a door now. ;)
Give up? Wtf is give up.? Just coming to terms that I could lose it all. Fortunately this morning all is well. I mixed a batch of fungicide sprayed lightjy and fed/watered Every thing. Best day in the garden I've had in a while. Thanks for the positive feed back everbody. You are to kind @slow drawl

Well middlerguerrilla..I am sorry to hear man and to be quite honest a little shocked that things went sour so quick. The ones that are laying on the ground don't appear to near death, what made you think they wouldn't recover? Just curious. Regardless the way you handled your loss and your comments here say a lot about your character. Hopefully you can maximize the remainder of your crop and still have a happy harvest....Take care.

For a season so far filled with all the setbacks you had, you still had and still have a heck of a garden man. You inspired me to try out the tying down stuff and im hoping it looks half as good as yours did.

I chopped the 3 Honey Bee x skidder trail. The big one had gotten black spot on the bud leaves and then started to decimate the pistols. The next inevitable issue would have been molded up buds because of the dead material. The 2 smaller ones were about 1.5 to 2 weeks behind on flower. So I hit then with the Bonide and it roached them. The pistols were dying at a rapid rate due to the iron lookout caused by my heavy mix ratio. I chopped the seaweed plant because black spot was spreading from bud leaves to the buds. The rum bayou x brain twister was being over ran with black spot as well. So I lost 5 plants but was able to get over a unit from the big HB and the Seaweed. Lessons learned. The way that things were going I was prepared to lose it all but stay after it hoping to save as many as I could.

Good news is that my remaining plants look good and may be able to finish out. I had a few surprises yesterday. My biggest plant at about 6 x 7 looks like a Candy Train but it just hasn't smelled like one until yesterday. I didn't see the girls on Saturday and the candy trains looked crazy and were flowering hard suddenly and one plant I never guessed to be a CT is just that. All 3 smell exactly the same. I've got another small one that is suppose to be and looks like yone but the sweet smell isn't there yet. My Brain Twister is getting some very phat buds as is the 2 PW. I smoked a tester from a PW and wow. My tester is around 3 weeks early and it's plain to see Poison Warp is another @getawaymountain power house like Island Afghani. I'm thinking she's higher on the shelf than IA. My Double Black x seawarp is getting phat ass buds with fruity smell and very sticky. My 2 double black x brain twister aren't very big but frosty nugs. I have a small skidder trail late pheno humming along. A big ass sprawling Amherst Sour D has triggered. The other one I had to thin out drastically. It got to much copper as well. I have a blue dream x seawarp that isn't real big but humming along. 1 small R2 unless I fucked up the labeling. It just triggered so I'm not sure it's an R2.

Your a trooper man, I can't say I'd be as cool and collected as you if this shit happened to me. A lot of my stuff is getting bud rot but I just keep picking it out and hoping it'll make it. I have one really nice purple honey bee x skidder trail and about to pull an auto pheno of stumbleberry pollibated with sea dragon and honey bee x skidder trail. Keep your head up it looks like your still going to have a few really nice plants to harvest!

Bud rot plagued me last year. I wasn't cool and calm when that fungus set in. In my rush to stop it I fucked up and did some damage. Fortunately it might finish out in pretty good shape. We shall see.

@ruby fruit
I never give up but I sometimes expect the worse outcome under shitty conditions. But give up I do not.:hump:
