Cob spacing in 2x4 Tent

I haven't had a grow in over ten years and I can't get over the advancements in lighting!

I have two Mars 300 in a 2x4 tent vegging some 5 day old God's Amnesia and I now realize (despite my original reading) that those lights aren't going to cut it in a few weeks. The kids are doing well so far other than some over-watering. I will be sexing, cloning and sogging - searching for a good pheno for next year's legalization (woo Trudeau!) . The Mars 300s will be used in a second 2x4 to veg the potential clone mothers.

I've done a lot of reading and the remaining ladies will be flowered using a diy 6 CXM-22s 3000k 90 CRI driven with an HLG-320-48A. It will be about 5 weeks before I get my hands on a good par meter to adjust the layout. Until then... What spacing of the 6 cobs would be suggested for the most uniform coverage inside a 2x4 tent? Just keep it simple and go 6" from the inside of the tent walls and 18" apart (length) and 12" apart width? Maybe some \/\/\ action? For all my searching I couldn't find a solid answer.

Thanks for the help!

I run 4 COBs in a 2x4 tent. The mounting rack measures 18"x 24".

Be right back. Ill measure the centerline of the COBs themselves.

With a hanger that measures 18"x 24". The center of the sinks(COBs) measure 7.5"x 19.5".

120mm sinks

Beautiful. Thanks gentlemen. That's about the spacing I was thinking.

That makes sense - the equal distance of cob spacing and height from canopy sounds good too.

I'll throw some pics up when it's all rolling too and eventually with some par numbers in the tent.

With the spacing I listed. Going with 6 COBs would add a center section of another two. Dead center of the tent. 2' off each wall.

Side question... I was going to add a couple pc fans to the frame to add airflow to the canopy. Is there a way to wire them into the led driver or do they need to be run completely separate? I'm simply trying to reduce the need for another device plugged into the wall.

Thanks!

I'm heavily considering making myself a light. I wonder how much all the parts will cost.

Im about 50 x 26", i use 4 x cxb 3500 and 4 x v29 4k. About 575w ~48% efficiency. Requires decent canopy clearance space and good nutrition but reliably grows 3-4, 5 to 7 gal full size gals.

Definitely do DIY if at all possible. Nothing beats learning new stuff, customized for your setup and less pricey.

Yeah, I checked out herbin farmers videos and got inspired. I figure I'll need about 600w pulled from the wall for my 5 x 5 room.
