Fluffy Buds week 8, will they get more dense?

This is California Orange fem seeds from Seedsman, 8 full weeks of flower under 600 watt hps light. This is supposed to be a 9 week strain. Flush started few days ago with the intent to harvest at day 63 if the tricomes are ripe.

Buds are huge but fluffy and airy. This plant is in a tent with a Blueberry and an African cut, both are the same age with rock hard buds.

Question is, will these buds firm up with more time? Thanks for the help!

no they will not.
with dialed temps, air flow, humidity, c02 augmentation they will grow more true to their potential.
some strains have whispy buds, calyx only, hard large and hard small buds no matter what you provide.
yours look good, quit your pouting man

Don't start feeding, just continue your flush over the next 2 to 3 weeks.
If the leaves are looking good, you are not flushing enough.

The plants don't appear to be ready to harvest, so I'm thinking I will try to go longer. I'm in DWC buckets, do you foresee any problem with changing from plain water back nutrient solution?
nope, treat it like a normal rez change

it will lower quality and quantity to not feed for three weeks, esp as this is the swelling phase. never go weeks without nutes in hydro.

I like a clean burning smoke more than a few digits extra yield. Heck, some people feed up to the end and think flushing is for fools....
I'm grateful for them, as this means my quality shit is just appreciated more.

Lol.

If you don't overfeed and properly taper off towards the end and dry properly you would notice the weed is much stronger and more complex in cannabanoids and terpenes.

Yield and quality are not mutually exclusive. Pot plants grown to potential have huge buds.

Update, 6 days later and the colas are getting heavier, they all flopped over so I tied them to the ceiling for support. Firming up for sure although I don't think they will ever get hard as many have already suggested. Hairs are turning orange but no other obvious changes I can see right now. Check back in next Wednesday...

I kind of think flushing is for people that have not mastered curing as it does allow you to get a smoother smoke with a sub optimal cure. But in the end it is personal preference and confirmation bias. I can take the same strain and cure part traditionally and part with a fermentation cure. Some people will prefer the trad, some the fermentation. The fermentation will be much smoother but the trad will be more flavorful. So whatever rocks your boat is good and variety is the spice of life!
