PC Grow (Options)

If I was going to grow a plant in a PC Case, would lollypopping be the best option or LST, I'm thinking lollypopping because I could possibly have 2 plants in 1 PC case then 1 LST plant.



Any thoughts?

I reakon with lollypopping you would be too restricted with height,LST,i feel would be the best option.

Start by getting a VERY old pc.
They are MASSIVE.

Buy new fans, you'll need at least three, one for pulling air in, one for pulling air out and one to blow on the plants.

You could probably get away with Two if you position the Intake fan to blow the new air over your plants.

You'll have a difficult time making your box airtight too.

I'd suggest Using something thin like ply board to make a box inside the PC case and painting it White.

I wouldn't suggest using Cardboard because, altho many here say it won't burn there is the chance that it could..

So you have your pc case, gutted it out, make a "box" inside it so it's airtight.

Making the box won't mean you lose any room, just make sure you get some thin wood!

Odour control may be an issue so check out my thread on DIY carbon filters.

You may want to use a plug in air freshner in conjunction with a carbon filter.

you could probably get away with LST'ing two plants.. make the Soil tubs low but wide, as this will stunt it's growth making it less likely to over grow your pc case.

Remember, your plant can double, sometimes triple in size when you put it into flowering.

I saw a thread on another site about a PC grow that was great, if i find it again i'll post the link on here.

Go with CFLs for this, you could probably fit about 4/5 with two either side and one pointing down in the middle..

Everyone so far has said LST, why not lollypopping? they require less space?????

That guy says get your hands on an old pc. I don't know about that, if you don't already have the case then surely you can find something a bit larger that's still stealthy. A subwoofer box, large speaker, whatever. IMHO pc cases are too small to bother with. Even if you have to have ABSOLUTE stealth there are way better options than a tiny pc case.

As to the type of grow, I say SOG with as many single cola plants as will fit, no training, just flower from seed so they finish small and don't have a chance to do any side branching.

The reason i said an old pc is because the Cases are HUGE, some come nearly twice as big as modern ones.

That being said, they are a pain in the ass to work with.
You've gotta dremel off all the inside bits you can't take off by hand..

Check out this guys grow, using CFLs he makes good buds.. this might give you some idea of what you can REALLY achieve with CFLs.

Thanks for all the support Arrid, I'm going to see how big 'she' gets and make my decisions based on the space I have, but I will more then likely lean to using LST, but at the same time, I could incorporate both LST and lollypopping, If I use my space wisely and could produce a nice lil crop!

old pc is def a good idea. IMO you would be better off LST and setting up a little scrog in there, havent seen it yet and would be bitchen to watch...
