Ideally I'd like to be just topping off and not changing res in dwc as well. I was going to hold off until flush time, I'm week 4 flower, but I began getting ph down spikes, which seems to always happen around week 2 of a res cycle life, so I ended up switching out last night.
I'm only doing two plants and don't plan on doing more than that in the upcoming future. Possibly add 2 more to the tent at some point, I wouldn't have room for more than that. But rdwc, even though in theory seems ideal, probably wouldn't be for me, because I'm growing a sativa and an indica and the feeding rate is drastically different between the two. with an rdwc i only have one res, can't alter the nutrients for each plant.
And yeah, mid 60's wouldn't be doable for me without having a chiller, which I'm not looking to get. Temps are steady around 73 for me doing dwc, no issues yet. It's the hottest point of summer just passing, so I shouldn't ever see temps above that in the grow room.
Perfect! That adds even more weight to that net lid though, jeez people have muscles. I like how close that screen is to the lid. I'd like to grow the next batch only 6 or 8 inches in veg, like how high that screen is in the vid, and then for flower start putting the branches through the screen. I love seeing those grows where the plants are not high at all, but those big towers of only buds are shooting up above the plant's leafy area and screen.
