Open Show and Tell 2017-18

Just starting to flower here in the Pacific NW. This is my second year growing now. I went with more plants this year, and chose 4 different strains. Cherry pie, Obama kush, headbanger, and Bruce banner #3.

100 gallon hole for each plant. FFOF with added perlite, and I'm running the Roots organic trio sparingly, three feedings since may 05 purchase of clones.

The Obama is super cropped and scrogged. I managed to get a really even canopy but the plant stayed much shorter than I expected. The others are crowding in. The cherry pie is nearing 7 feet tall, the headbanger and Banner have passed 7 at this point.

I braced 2 of the 3 big plants well before stretch so they grew into the trellis nets. It was a pain getting my hands on the 8ft plastic coated stakes for a reasonable price. The cherry pie only got the 6 footers and I fully regret that now. It is much taller than I expected.

3 plants are staked at the corners and wrapped with trellis nets all the way around. Open on the bottom for easy watering. I stacked 2 horizontal layers of netting so they could grow into them as they got taller.

I'm amazed at the size of these things this year. I gained a lot of knowledge last year and continued to research throughout the wet season. Did it to the best of my abilities this year, and its paying off.

Pulled the trigger on using insecticide this year. I had a worm problem late in the season last year. I didn't want it to happen again so I bought some Monterey brand BT a couple weeks ago. I've been spraying at sundown every 5-7 days. So far there haven't been any issues with the spray, and no sight of worms yet. Ill probably spray for a few more weeks and call it good. I don't want to dose heavily after they've been flowering past week 4-5.

All in all I'm pretty happy with my progress to this point. The second try has been fairly rewarding so far, only a couple regrets. It's a bit over whelming but I've gotten my watering schedule down to about every 4-5 days. The spraying is the hardest part. Lack of room to move.

I'm done now I think.
