rosin press bag size and puck size

bought a 3.5" x 3.5" plate rosin press, looking at doing a 2.5x2.5 pre press mold and putting into 3.5x3.5 bags. will this set up work? not sure about bag size. 2.5x2.5 should flatten out and still be within the 3.5x3.5 plates....not sure how the bag would/should work.

thx. My biggest question was if the size of the bag should match the plates....it would make sense to me it should or smaller. Ill go with this though!!!

To me your ratio seems perfect...some edge to allow run off. Use a parchment piece that will cover out past the plate edges so the rosin can seep out onto it.

i don't think you could fold those and expect it to cover the bag and then some. Grab a roll of parchment at a store and tear off a bigger piece. You need a few inches on each side to catch the gravy.
DON'T use wax paper.
