nice. what are the terms? they still offering the deal? you have a link?Yes. I had to pay the shipping. 100 bucks. 200 watts and I get to keep the light. It made it from China on Thursday to my doorstep on Monday.
I was going to diy one but decided to go this route. I couldn't buy the parts for that much.
Ill run it as is for a while. If the fans ever give me problems maybe upgrade to pin heat sinks.
if you take it apart, and there is a hamster running on a generator wheel, it's the real deal. How would one tell?

Lol.if you take it apart, and there is a hamster running on a generator wheel, it's the real deal.
email Meanwell the serial number and ask to verify itLol.
Serious though, how would a person tell?
Who knows. The law was just changed to allow isp's to sell your browsing history.I have been getting unsolicited offers from Geyapex about their lights even though I've never spoken to the company or sent a request or anything. They literally contact me out of the blue, I had been in contact with come other sellers on alibaba so obviously someone is sharing information about clients with each other. I personally am not too happy about this so let this be a warning to others about dealing with these companies, you don't know what they are doing with your information.
Now in terms of the light I agree with you, those heatsinks look like crap, that is obviously one way they are cutting costs, if each had its own individual fan then possibly but not with 2 fans for 4 heatsinks on those cobs running at 50w each. The Heatsinks are a big expense of a light so not something i personally would want to skimp or cut corners on.
no way to know 100%...........but it does look legit, MW lettering, serial #s.How would one tell?

I had no problem keeping 432 watts of t5 cool because of cool basement air. I'm sure I will have to turn my fan down for these leds.I'm runnning the P6 and am very impressed so far, it puts off a little more heat then my timber veros but I need it to keep my temps where I want them as I run 12 on at night. Excited to see what they will pull, in day 14 12/12
I have it about 26 inches from canopy and the temps aren't bad, no where close to my HPS which was insane, normally I can't run this time of year but I can with LEDs, I'll get a temp reading soon.I had no problem keeping 432 watts of t5 cool because of cool basement air. I'm sure I will have to turn my fan down for these leds.
What kind of temps are you getting out of it? Does the fixture run hot?
What distance from the canopy do you have it?
Strange. The HLG's I bought from TME say made in Taiwan, not China. How would one tell?
