Visiting Vegas for the next week with the wife, any suggestions on dispensaries I should (and/or shouldn't!) check out?

I have my MI medical card, so should be fine there, just don't wanna get shafted with tourist prices and dirt quality...

Any other advice on things to do/see in the area are appreciated too, we aren't really planning much ahead, mostly just the excuse to get away from the kids for a week, and R-E-L-A-X.....

Someone who lives there posted he expects a locust swarm of peeps purchasing Ganj. the first week. Other articles say the Nevada supply is sketchy. Next week any weed in Vegas may be touristy and not top shelf. Good luck tho.

I was blindsided by the recreational sales.... had no idea...

Good news is... being a medical card holder is like having a speed pass... Used mine at the place right near my hotel in Mesquite... made it cheaper, and got me in n out within 20mins.

Hot as fuck tho...

Where the hell I find a damn simple glass pipe, still dont know.... 3 dispensaries in this town, someones gotta sell pipes...

So rec is finally here...I heard the rec stuff isn't as good as the medical tho, which is pretty sorry cause the medical shit iv seen commin out these places is what I would classify as bunk...poor bastards that still buy the shit in 2017...for the price you would spend on one ounce you could grow 8 smh

Tried out Carson City dispensary a few months ago. I could have bought a new bulb or something for what a 1/2 cost me. Not quite as good as some garden stuff I saw.

Fuck %.... terpens have such a synergistic effect with thc that something that is 25% but lacks a complex terpene profile Won't get you as high as somthing that's 15% and has that Terp profile....thc% are for suckers n newbs....""drrrr the sticker said a super high thc % so it's good"

I thought when I 1st tried dispensary weed here that thc was the way to judge and from experience have found what Bublonichronic said to be true. Over two years I sampled about 30 1 gram purchases when I was out of my own and can say I probably liked 6 samples, at least 4 or more I threw away without finishing it. The rest were weed if you didn't have your own.
Don't review dispensaries, most carry brands from a variety of growers. Review the growers.
Don't ask me who the good ones are, I can say that one is growing organic in soil and usually gets good reviews, Green Life Productions. I don't know of any other soil growers.

Yes most do sell the same stuff, that is why rating a dispensary and not the grower doesn't always have useful info. The review will rate other factors and not always give good info about the weed, they may say the weed was bad but not say who grew it. Not sure how many cultivators there are. Some have their own cultivation facility and dispensary. Many dispensaries carry a variety of cultivators. I think right before it went recreational they were all loading up from any cultivator they could get there hands on because there were going to be distribution problems at the start of rec, so they all loaded up in case they could not re supply. Cultivation facilities range from 10,000 - 100,000 sq ft. I think there was one or two smaller than 10K.

i think that's why the budd are subpar, growing on that scale it becomes about turnover and having the highest yielding plants not best smelling or best high, what puts out more weight and can be chopped in 8 weeks( I personally think almost no strain will be ripe in 8 weeks, maybe a landrace indica but even then pushing further is better) I wish it were like cali here so small "craft" growers could sell to disp. Would see much higher quality stuff, we need to start a farmers market...maybe that's what I'll do, start a farmers market that smaller growers can spread theyr stuff to patients...anyone wanna help get a farmers market goin ? We can creat flyers and put them outside all the dispensarys for patients to see and hold one every week, like sundays are farmers market days to get that super dank

She checked the fine print on the label and it said CBD. Now she thinks the a-holes at the store figured they could rip her off because she is nearly retirement age and would not know the difference between "medical" and "recreational."

Well FWIW my wife did not go to Planet 13 but she talked to some folks who did and they indicated that it was legit. I think some sleazy vendors at tourist traps in Vegas may be ripping off visitors who don't know where to get the good stuff.

Honestly there are no good dispensaries in Las Vegas all the weed sucks out here badly & is way too expensive, the only way to find decent herb is knowing someone off the streets or bringing it yourself. All those places are exactly what you said tourist traps they take advantage of people that come to Vegas & they don’t even let you see what you’re buying so you never know what you’re getting and that just goes to show how corrupted Nevada is by banning all homegrows just so the sleazy vendors can make all the money FUCK VEGAS everyone that smokes should start growing out here stop giving these devils your hard earned money...
