First bulk order for a DIY COB Build

What's up ROI community. So I have decided to go with an all LED setup for my 4x4 space. First time using LEDs but I've done a bit of DD and watched a shit ton of videos, read quite a lot of threads on here about what's good and what's shit, where to buy, etc. etc. I plan on making my own frame that will house 10 COBs run on two drivers both dimmable. I know 10 COBs might be a lot but with the dimmer I think they will work out.

Here is my shopping list:

5 x CREE 3590 3500K CD 36V 80CRI
5 X CREE 3590 3000K CB 36V 80CRI
10 x IDEAL HOLDER 2303CR
20 PIECES COB LED CABLE 0.75MM2
10 X 163MM ALUMINUM PIN FIN HEAT SINK (75-85W)
2 X HLG 240H-C1400B MEANWELL 250W
2 x 10v DIMMER FOR MEANWELL DRIVERS

So any feedback/recommendations are welcome.

Save some money and skip the Crees... Technology has changed, there are cheaper chips with the same specs available...

luminus at $17 are a better value than $25 veros ;)

they perform near the $35 vero Cs in fact

GrowGreen200w.jpg 6 chilledgrowlights. com 100w boards will fill out your 4x4 just fine. I use 3 100w boards in a 2x4, cost me just $99 per board.

I reused 6x12 heatsinks USA from my previous cree cxb3590 cobs. I retired all my cobs for both veg; 2x2 4-3590's @1400mA and bloom 2x2 4-3590's @ 1400mA and increased my bloom from 2x2 to 2x4 and heat went way down and use my own 200w boar5d for 2x2 veg set at 100w.

You really suggest using those over veros?
in my opinion they are the best option for most people below 75W

why wouldn't PLC be using them if they perform better for less?
thats not a question for me. they are operating at close to 100W per cob on their new fixtures so are probably using the Vero B or C to get the flux they want for their design. Apart from design efficiency there are a host of other factors that go into a fixture design such as cost, availability, physical size of chip, mounting style, available holders and optics, listings of each part, what parts are available at the time of certification submittal, branding partners, marketability, etc. etc.

are they 36V?
the gen 3 are 50V chip. similar to a citi 1818 in voltage profile

Not enough power to really blast a 4x4 through flowering. Even with COBs you really need to aim at 50W/Sqft.
I've got 16 x 3590s on 4 drivers, pulling about 700W at the wall, and half of my COBs are 5000K, so they are more efficient that the 3000k and 3500k options too.
You'll grow good weed but, you know...

10 cxm22s pushed at 1050ma would be plenty of light for your space. Get 3500 or 3000k, you arent growing lettuce...
