Shout out to GROBOTNIK GENETICS for giving me these beans and allowing me and roll it up users to get a peak at his new genetics and what they can do.

So I have the 4 best of the outdoor female landrace. And I have clones

I also got one absolute stud of a male
He has good structure, didn't show sex too early, smells of skunk and his stem was even hollow. Gotta make some great new generation landrace seeds might even do some crossing with this male.0730171911a.jpg 0730171905.jpg
Lets get this pollen in the air.!!!

So update. I stressed tested the male and cut 4 clones immediately after going on a car ride with a blanket on him in summer. Hehe.0731171611.jpg 0731171955.jpg
He bounced back nicely. And has a roo and light all to himself and small clones of chosen sisters. The clones are 3 days old now. I think i will upgrade all of them into one gallons in 4 to 5 more days.

The 3 sisters chosen rooted and survived the transplant/dehooding. Not i am takin these clones with minimal products. Even the male ones 2 oit of four got a leftover chunk of rockwool i found on the ground. All other clones have been stuck straight in dirt with cheap root powder.0731171952.jpg Sativa Skunk 1 is now 2nd choice cause number 1 was a male lol. It has a more earthy indica skunk terpene than pungent like male. n0730171428.jpg New Sss 1 terpenes match male the most pungent Sativa Skunk0730171428b.jpg 0730171427a.jpg
And sativa lemony skunk 3 is our otger choice citrusy skunk terpenes remniscabt of gg4 or nysd

I have also decided to pollinate 3 more of the later started sisters. I am going to choose them for shorter flower time, variation, maybe a more indica pheno if we get one. If not i will just choose what we didnt cover in the initial breeding for more variation and possibility with breesing in this land race.

What do you mean. Its not hemp so...
The hollow stem info came from a book called Marijuana Potency by Micheal Starks

What most folks don't know is that the pic was published upside down

Here it is in the book

And here it is in the actual referenced study

I have a few skunks in my collection, need to find the time to work em lol
Id really love the oppurtunity to test grow some of your old skunks probablly similar to mine and would add some vigor into this now super true breeding generation im working. Maybe collaborate a little or i couldjust test a few here or ther for you.IMG_20170801_082455.jpgdecided to pull the holy grail male hell skunk out for a photo. Say that 5 times fast haha. Im one of the few people that would be extreme enough to clone and keep rare stud males as clones for backup.IMG_20170801_082455.jpg

Really nice stuff you got going there. Do u know where grobotik got theses seeds from,? sams stock or..?:)
So RM3 u think it is a bad sign that the stem is hollow. I have heard DJ Short mention the stem too, but in his observation he thinks that it is a good sign..? Yeez so many opinions.

"Quoted from DJ's book, taken originally from Micheal Starks Marijuana Poteny , says this

Large hollow stems are are sought over white pith filled stems. Backed by years of observations, hollow stems do seem to factilitate THC produciton. ( from icmag)
Later on DJ changed the stems theory a bit, dunno could´t find any about it.

Well this really dosen´t tell us a lot. Maybe it because of wind, genetics, nutes , who knows.

Never said it was a bad sign, that study/report was from the 70's, so much crossing and breeding has occurred that it most likely no longer matters. But the big picture take away is how stoners/growers can turn a publishing mistake into a fact that lasted for many years until the internet made it easy to debunk.

Very similar to how amber trics became bad when the actual cited study/report actually says brown ,,,,,,,,

b. Effect of gland age on cannabinoid content
We also examined cannabinoid content of stalked gland by age to measure the major cannabinoid components in both a fiber and drug strain (Table 2). Glands, viewed under a microscope, can be classified according to their secretory phases from the color of their contents. Glands most active in secretion (mature) are translucent in appearance, aged glands are yellow in appearance and senescent glands are brown in color. Mature glands possessed the highest content of their major cannabinoid in both the fiber and drug strains. Senescent glands possessed low levels of cannabinoids. The concentration of some components, as CBD in the drug strains, may be so low that is was not detectable in our analysis; similarly, for THC and CBN in the fiber strain. It is unknown where the cannabinoids go during the aging process, but we suggest that it is possible they volatilize into the atmosphere along with the terpenes in glands, as noted later in this report. Nevertheless, this phenomenon of altered content in glands during aging is one that should be studied to gain a more complete understanding of the secretory process of cannabinoids in the cell.

When it comes to cannabis there is a lot of bad info out there
