DIY with Quantum Boards

Plant update - #QuantumLife

Tangerine Dream ... Flipped last week ( started to preflower)

KOMAKUSH- ( seed in rooter plug straight into soil container )

Arjan Strawberry Haze and Blue Glue ( Hempy )

The Blue Glue ( perlite Hempy ) just exploded in growth compared to my soil grows.
Quantums are definitely killing it with this kind of growing. I think I might pop that mephisto chemdogging in a HEMPY BUCKET instead - maybe a 5 gallon perlite mix. Me thinks it would be a great plant to go Hempy with.

Candy Dream - week 6
Great looking buds and fragrant ! .... Momma will be happy.

@Ganja would it be better to use the HLG-320H-C2100A?
I don't know, would it? I already bought the HLG-320H-54A s, so hopefully these will work.. I bought the constant voltage drivers because, from what I understand, they give me the option to run 2 boards @ up to 90% max current, 3 @ 70%, or 4 @ 50%... In other words, they give me the option to add more boards / change configurations in the future for greater efficiency... I could be missing something though, I'm still just learning all this shit

I've seen a couple large Chemdoggings lately! I look forward to your grow!

@ganjamystic Iam not sure either. I was wondering my self. As for square feet iam not sure on what hes got. Iam going to be doing a 4x6 iam wanting 750-800 watts I was wondering what my options were. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

I'm building 2 lights with triple heatsinks and QBs to cover a 30" x 40" space in my flowering area.. I have 6 boards, 3 triple heatsinks, and 3 drivers, so I could build 3 lights with 2 boards apiece, 2 for the 30" x 40" space and an extra light for a 2' x 4' veg tent, or I could just build 2 flowering lights with 3 boards each and save the extra heatsink and driver for a future build.. still debating on that.. I have 320W drivers so if I build 3 lights with 2 boards each I probably won't run them at full blast, but if I build 2 with 3 boards each I can crank them all the way up because each board will only be at ~70%... if I'm understanding everything correctly..

If you pushed each board at 100W, all 6 of them together would do justice to 25 sq ft!

The 50 watt per square foot number is a benchmark (sort of if it were black and white which it isn't) for hps/hid.
Good LED's are about 30-40% more efficient over all.

So with the right LED lights, you can get away with around 30-35 watts per square foot and generate a ton less waste heat.

As I understand it.

This is true. If you used 304s you could do the same with a HLG-320H-C2800

Hey guys wondering if I can get some help with a wiring problem I'm having !
I'll upload some photos and please let me know if it's correct or wrong . I'm using an hlg4802100b for 4 of the 304 quantum boards ..thanks guys !

Please excuse my drawing but does that look correct?

Check this out.
(Two boards on the bottom are connected together in series) and (the two boards on top are connected in series = + to -)
And call each set a chain ... now both chains are connected to the DC source in parallel ( each chain's + is connected to the DC + and each chains - is connected to the DC neg) so the chains are in parallel but the boards within each chain are in series.
I hope this clarifies it :-)
